We support emerging creators so their stories can reach listeners around the world. Whether exploring audio storytelling for the first time or seeking mentorship or production support, writers are enabled to connect with fellow industry professionals, experiment with new formats and develop the skills and resources to get their stories made.
Emerging Playwrights Fund: Audible Theatre invests in new artistic voices and creative exploration for playwrights. Fifty projects have been commissioned through our Emerging Playwrights Fund, with over 30 of them released on Audible and several with live shows at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre or in development for screen adaptations.
Indigenous Writers’ Circle: We connect emerging First Nations, Inuit and Métis writers in Canada with mentors and established Indigenous authors who provide guidance on their work and help them find their footing in the publishing industry. The Indigenous Writers’ Circle has helped dozens of Indigenous writers deepen their practice, find their voice, and launch their writing careers.
AudibleLab: For university students across Spain, AudibleLab offers a series of workshops that immerses them in the latest technologies and trends in audio storytelling, often culminating in original content being developed by new, young voices.
Audible Creator Development Program Brazil: This pitching program, judged by top creators in Brazil, awards the winner with an Audible Original production of their audio series. Through the program, we also published an in-depth tutorial on the audio production process so creatives across the country can learn how to explore audio storytelling.
Women’s Prize for Fiction: Discoveries: Audible’s support for this prestigious writing prize in the UK includes the Discoveries writing development program, which offers aspiring female writers a cash prize, writing courses and mentorship, representation by Curtis Brown Literary Agency, and the opportunity to workshop their manuscript with an Audible commissioning editor, with two Audible Originals commissioned to date.

A riveting thriller was chosen from over 200 stories submitted to “Pitching: Audible Original” by creators hoping to produce an audio series with Audible. Our free masterclass gave newcomers even more access to Brazil’s audio storytelling space.
Breaking into audio can take more than raw talent. Through programs like the ones here, up-and-coming professionals are equipped with the skills, resources and connections needed to turn passion into a career – with a focus on expanding opportunities for historically underrepresented creators.
Off-Mic Workshops: We provide free classes and workshops for emerging creators to develop skills in audio content production through a collaboration with Multitrack in the UK.
Audio in Color: By producing high-quality romance audiobooks from diverse voices, Audio in Color expands educational resources for romance authors and narrators in the U.S. with our support.
Théâtre Mogador: In collaboration with Théâtre Mogador in France, we offer a masterclass in audio production to expose participants to careers in the industry, including a visit to our Audible Studios.
London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA): We support a scholarship that enables creatives from low-socioeconomic backgrounds to attend the LAMDA school in the UK.
GNR8: Part of LAMDA, students work with writers and directors to draft and perform their own audio plays. Nearly 20 of these are available on Audible.
Operatori Doppiaggio e Spettacolo (O.D.S.): We provide a three-year training scholarship for aspiring talent to O.D.S., a voice acting and dubbing school in Italy, prioritizing candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds who show an aptitude for microphone work. O.D.S. also hosts a workshop with acclaimed Italian narrators to help recent graduates deepen their audiobook narration skills.
Drama programs: At more than two dozen universities and programs in the U.S. and Canada, we teach drama students about career opportunities in audio narration, along with classes on accents, characters, how to create a home studio, and more. Audition opportunities are also provided for students, increasing the visibility of new talent across the industry.
We don’t make an impact alone. Working alongside other leading organizations in the entertainment industry, we create pathways to success for the next wave of audio creators.
Sundance Collab: As part of our sponsorship of the Sundance Film Festival in the U.S., emerging creators explore audio narratives through our Audio Storytelling Intensive Course. It offers live, virtual sessions for Sundance Collab members led by instructors and experts, including Audible employees.
Entertainment Community Fund: We provide workshops and classes in the U.S. for nascent creators in career management, audiobook narration and portfolio training in collaboration with the Entertainment Community Fund.
Série Lab: In Brazil, we support the Série Lab’s Audio Storytelling track, including a session for new and emerging creators to pitch ideas for audio series, with the winner awarded a production fund. We also participate in the pitch session’s jury and a virtual meeting that connects creators with distributors and offer tickets to local creators to attend the event.
