We’re constantly innovating to create the best listening experience for millions of customers around the world. That includes applying the latest technology to everything from a customer’s experience discovering new content to a narrator’s ability to take on more roles and performances for their fans, to working with car manufacturers to make the most of their cutting-edge infotainment and sound systems. Here are some of our latest enhancements we’ve rolled out that help customers and creators get even more out of their Audible experience.

Helping Our Customers Find Their Next Great Listen

There’s nothing quite like discovering a new favorite listen, whether you’re digging through a catalog of beloved classics, uncovering a new genre or diving into the latest bestseller, and we’ve made that experience easier and more personalized than ever. With Maven, our AI-powered search tool, users can hone right in on what they want most from our catalog with questions like “I’m looking for an uplifting fiction novel with a female protagonist,” or “show me fantasy audiobooks that I can complete on an eight-hour road trip,” and Maven will share personalized suggestions with the listener based on their unique tastes and preferences.”

We’ve also added AI-generated tags that give a quick summary of listener reviews of any given title, from “excellent narration” to “relatable storyline,” and launched a new recommendation feature based on customers’ recent Prime Video watches. Just two more ways we’re helping listeners find the content they love, crafted to their preferences.

Audible for All Ages

With our ever-expanding collection of children’s content–including dozens of Audible Originals from beloved Disney franchises, as well as a suite of activity sheets from our collaboration with Crayola–parents and caregivers now have the option to create a Kids Profile to curate the titles that children can enjoy. To get started, customers can visit any Kids title page or the “Profile” tab in the Audible app. From there, titles that have been purchased or are included in the customer’s membership can be shared to the Kids Profile.

New Opportunities for Creators

We’re always reimagining ways to level up the Audible experience for creator community, too.

This fall, our Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX) invited a small group of narrators to participate in a U.S. only beta enabling them to create and monetize replicas of their own voices using AI-generated speech technology. This beta is empowering participants to expand their production capabilities for high-quality audiobooks, generate new business by taking on more projects simultaneously and increase their earning potential. Narrators continue to maintain control of the projects they want to audition for, using voice replica or live performance, and will remain central to the production process.

On the Road with Audible

Audible listeners love being transported to new worlds during their commutes and road trips. As part of our efforts to make these experiences even more seamless, we bring Audible directly into customers’ car infotainment systems via Android Automotive Operating System—brought further to life in select car models with immersive Dolby Atmos spatial audio capabilities. In addition to in-car entertainment, Audible listeners can now enjoy their favorite titles with Ray-Ban Meta. By using voice controls to navigate their Audible book or podcast through Ray-Ban Meta glasses, listeners get a whole new type of handsfree audio listening experience.

New features like these are just some of the ways our teams are pushing the boundaries to expand the Audible experience, for listeners and creators alike.
