London: Jack the Ripper

  • Summary

  • In late August, 1888, a series of violent and barbarous murders began in London. Women mutilated so badly, their crime scenes are still described as some of the worst ever seen. This was the autumn of Jack the Ripper.

But Jack the Ripper’s rampage didn’t simply happen in London. It happened because of London and, in turn, it would truly change London forever - from street names to the rapid innovation of CSI to the living standards of London’s poorest to, literally, things like street lights. The crimes of Jack the Ripper are some of the most consequential murders in history. And we’re going to find out why.
