  • Summary

  • Today we welcome Korean-Australian comedian Harry Jun to the podcast to chat about the Scottish obsession with deep fat frying and why he'd love to be a contestant on Masterchef. We also discuss Gen Z's appropriation of our childhood treasures via the rise of retro cool, the bizarre Australian Kids TV Show 'Round the Twist' and why some Americans speak funny, whereby Harry introduces me to the phrase vocal fry. Harry then explains why most Australian comedians tend to know each other and why practical effects in film and TV create an emotional connection that CGI can't compete with.

I should add that when Harry asks if Rob Lowe was in Parks and Rec? I reply 'I don't think so' which is of course wrong. How could I forget?
