Publisher's summary
You might say that the loss of my virginity proved itself to be an out-of-this-world experience....
I've always been a southern girl, but perhaps not what you might call a proud one...See, I've always felt a little bit constricted by the culture down here, the sort of antiquated ways people have of setting to go about doing things. My personality just doesn't conform that well to such out-of-date notions as the ones I've for so long had foisted upon me.
But perhaps the most difficult of such customs to adhere to is that of a young adult like me retaining her virginity until marriage, a practice which often extends more to girls than it does to guys, who are free to screw as much as they want quite frankly.
This mindset of having to be a good little girl has made things difficult for me in the sexually charged atmosphere of the university campus, my v-card proving an impossible thing for me to get rid of due to my deeply enforced prudish nature.
Things are about to change, however, when I follow up on an advertisement posted on a local bulletin board, thinking that I'm about to sign up for a medical study...when in actuality I find myself in the clutches of a green-skinned alien life form, whose probing of me will prove to be quite the intimate affair....
This is an alien standalone romance with a happy ending from published author R.P. James.
Warning: This book contains lots of hot sex, drama, and adult language.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Story
Hockey coach Ashley Jaswal doesn't take nonsense from anyone … except her overbearing and superstitious family. They believe she's a good luck charm for her brother Jas, the newest Vancouver Canucks draft pick, forcing Ash to attend all his games as he rises up the NHL ranks, sacrificing her personal life (not that she has one—who decided hockey season needed to be 10 months long anyway?). Ash also clashes with Jas’s teammate, Canucks captain Devin Snyder.

Story was too short
I like short stories but this one seemed to short. It was an interesting premise but most of the book described how the main female character's religious upbringing caused her to be hesitant in loosing her virginity. We don't really get to know the Alien at all, who other than stating that he's trying to scientifically research human female copulation doesn't say much at all. Their conversation reads more like a weird doctors visit than anything said in a bedroom. The book ends suddenly after they have sex and it left me feeling as though I wanted more. I got this book in exchange for a review

More Please (& definitely in that accent)
The narrator's southern accent was yummy; it was almost like Sookie Stackhouse was reading to me. I just wish she'd have just talked dirty to me more. The audio would benefit from some editing, there were a couple of odd pauses and repeats/errors and then restarts that could easily have been cleaned up before release.
It was strange to me that the first chapter was just a retelling of the synopsis from the audible.com page. It's weird, since it's fair to assume people read that before purchasing/downloading the book. Personally, I felt like there was entirely too much background on why she was a virgin and nowhere near enough time dedicated to the loss of said virginity. Overall, I was hoping for a quick and dirty listen, but instead I got a commentary on a girl not allowed to express herself growing up in the south.
I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Wanted: More Sex Scene in an Erotica Tale
Narrator Rating: 2.5 Stars
I received this book from the Narrator/Author through AudiobookBlast dot com in exchange for my honest review.
First, I need to point out that this book has a lot of fowl language and sexual content. If you do not like that kind of stuff, this book is not for you.
I was a little disappointed in this story. It is based around this young college, Southern, virgin who finds a study for medical "research" and when she gets there, after a battle with her inner self, she discovers the researcher is an Alien with multiple appendages and all kinds of ways to please a woman.
I feel this book could have been good, and I was looking forward to listening to it. Here is how and where it fell short:
1. Majority of the story was her describing how she could have lost her virginity before but it just never happened
2. 90% of the story was her describing her upbringing, the lack of sex in the tension of her high school relationship, how she perceives her own body and only 10% was in the research lab/sex scene.
3. All first person.
4. The inner dialogue took away from the story
5. The narrator. I am sure she is a good narrator, but the accent threw me for a loop. Like she was trying a bit too hard. I found myself getting distracted.
6. I can't even remember the sex scene. She set up the story to tell about how she lost her virginity, and I can't remember it.
Why 3 stars? Because 2.5 on goodreads isn't an option and I felt it was closer to 3 stars, than 2.
I had a lot of hope for this book and was really looking forward to it. I felt it had a lot of potential, but just didn't go the direction it's made to be heading.

not bad
the heroine is a little full of herself, but all in all not bad. there is a couple of places where it glitches a little when it plays in the beginning.
