About this listen
*** Excerpt ***
Damien didn’t consider this man a suspect before the interview. Now he was almost positive. “If it wasn’t you who killed Annie, then who was it?”
“It’s a lot of crazy motherfuckers out there,” Tyrese said. “Like that motherfucker Samuel Little. He killed damn near a hundred hoes before y’all caught up with him.”
“We both know he didn’t do it,” Damien said. “He’s been dead for years.”
“Nigga, I know that. You ain’t gotta be talking down to me like that. I’m just saying it’s niggas like him out there on them streets. That’s all I’m saying. Most of what I do is try to save my girls from weird motherfuckers like that. What about that bitch who got cut up not too far from here? You ever think maybe whoever did that to her is the same one who did that to Annie?”
Another one?
Oh God, no.
This was another revelation that made Damien’s blood run cold. He asked him, “What girl are you talking about?”
“I don’t know her name or nothing like that. I know she was a ho, and I heard she was all cut up when the police found her. They say she got stabbed damn near fifty times.”
“When did this happen?”
“I don’t know man. Like three months ago.”
“Okay,” Damien said. “I’ll look into it.”
“Yeah, you do that. I seen your ass on TV. You go hard when some white people get killed. Let’s see if you keep that same energy for some dirty-ass prostitutes.”
Damien was disgusted by the man’s nonchalance and his opinion of women in general. But he remained cordial.
