The blurb and the book share a few things, but not a perfect match. This is a rushed version of a first couple chapters of a book that might have been great but barely is mediocre.

The recording quality is bad.

This isn’t even a cliffhanger!!! It only the beginning of the hike.

The story itself was pretty good BUT it’s a big cliffhanger. Be prepared to buy the set if you want to know how it turns out. It left me so frustrated, I’m not sure I’ll ever buy from this author again.

I think this book was trying so hard to be something that it wasn’t. It tried to address feminist and pro woman movements and address -isms and -ists, but that really took the romance out of it. In fact, didn’t feel like a romance most times.

The heroine was a light skinned black woman and a Chinese-born half Chinese/half European British-raised billionaire. That would’ve been cool but the kink/bdsm was executed subpar. It was well below expectations. Makes me think the author’s only research was 50 shades. It was an auction like situation but nothing felt consensual. Matter fact, it felt more like IG models who are constantly going to Dubai if you know what I mean.

The heroine was trying to get a expose story out of it but she just came off as kinda dumb. Putting herself in situations she didn’t research. I’m at a loss at what to score this. Thought about giving lowest possible but at least Ben was nice sometimes.

I already reviewed this book in EBook status. I just like to listened to the audiobook. Just like the Ebook I enjoyed the storyline.
He relationsjhip between Ben and Kalani is great. I love the sparing between them is quite citing. Jake on the other hand stinks.
He should be neutered!!

If I could give this book a rating of zero I would. The narration is awful. The story is pure defiled forced into submission sex acts and complete degradation. There is nothing about proper bdsm in this book.
