Elizabeth Meadows is horrible! if she was paid it's a waste of money. she sounds like she is eating while reading. she should also read through the story before doing audio as there is no flow, no inflection and my 9 year old could have done a better job. SAD

The story is ok, it is an not too bad story to listen to with your partner. The huge problem is the woman narrating the story! She sounds like she’s eating and drinking while she’s reading the book. She absolutely makes me sick! There’s times she sounds like can’t say a word or has to repeat a word because her mouth is too full of food. I think this woman needs to finish her meal and her drink, before she starts doing her recordings. Hasn’t she been thought not to talk with her mouth full??? NASTY!!! 🤢

The narration itself is a contract breaker. High pitched, girlish voices do. Not eroticism make.

The story is repulsive. The stepfather is supposedly teaching his engender stepdaughter how to experience sexual pleasure.

His approach is self-centered, insensitive to her needs, and centers on his urging her to do whatever it takes to please a man, her being pleasured is, according to him, merely an epiphenomenon.

He gets her pregnant, divorces his wife—who has the gall to be upset—, marries the daughter and they then live happily ever after.

No way is this story a turn on. In my view it is everything wrong about “He Comes First.”

We’re the girl’s bio-dad or close relative, I would have fucking killed him!

This audio is must listening for students learning about horrible patriarchal values and morally abject sexual relationships other than that it has no redeeming value.

The 30% of this that I did get through was decidedly a mood killer, and if you can't keep the mood through a trashy story, then there's no point.

This may be the worst female narration I've ever heard. If you called on someone in class to read aloud, and recorded exactly what they did, it would probably sound like this.

Gave the story 3 stars because that's an average score (and that's usually how I've rated the author's other titles). But I only made it about 30% through the story before I bailed on it, the audio was that bad. This review is really just about the audio, not the story.

The narrator's affect is flat and she straight up pauses in the middle of sentences. At one point I actually heard her clear her throat. Editing exists! So do second takes! Use those things!!! UGH

Seriously, a lot of this is on the (lack of an?) editor, a lot of those issues should've been caught/fixed.

Narrator also does that kinda breathy soft voice you get a lot with the female narrators of the more explicit erotica on Audible. Not my bag but generally I can sort of ignore that aspect. But on top of all the other problems, it was too much.

There is so much wrong with this audible book!! I am surprised it was ever published and offered as an option for Audible subscribers. Seriously? Aren't you making enough money to screen things before they are offered?

This story was not what I expected it to be. Yes, the story is on the Taboo side that it is what it supposed to give it an erotic twist.

The narrator sound like a kid having a difficult and uncomfortable time with the subject matter. Since the subject is Taboo and the narrator sounded so young it was just creepy and uncomfortable to listen to.

Not the only thing in life that matters is PLEASING A MAN... A WOMAN'S PLEASURE is equally important!!! Men need to learn and know how to please a woman. Some woman may like being treated this way. I on the other hand have my own needs to be satisfied as well.

I chose to READ/LISTEN to EROTICA to learn about things I would like to try in bad and real life.... Nothing ventured is nothing gained.

Taboo subjects can be sensual in their own right but it is not something most people would do. This is the tough side of wanting to learn about erotica and broach the Taboo angle of it. You need to do both carefully and cautiously. This Audible book will just give me nightmares I do not want to have.
