Publisher's summary

The Prince

Prince Xalikian Kazharan has a dilemma on his hands. Now that the Kordolians have landed on Earth, he somehow has to convince an entire planet of Humans that his people mean them no harm. It's easier said than done, especially when one's race has a reputation for brutally conquering the Nine Galaxies. Perhaps this stubborn female journalist called Sera Aquinas, who thinks she can just walk up to his front door and ask for an interview, might be able to help him. But first, he has to gain her trust, and that's not so easy when her presence drives him to distraction.

The Journalist

Sera Aquinas doesn't trust the charming amber-eyed Prince when he says he doesn't want to take over her planet. As a hardened journalist, she's seen her share of duplicity and corruption. So when Xal tells her the Kordolians are looking for Human females, she thinks he's messing with her. Seriously? Who would believe that lame excuse?

She has to admit however, that Xal is one fine-looking alien, and a part of her is curious.

It's absolutely far-fetched, but what if he's telling the truth? What if Humans and Kordolians are compatible? And when it comes to Xal, why does her body keep betraying her when her head is telling her to get the hell out of there?

Contains mature themes.

Carven fan

I read this series a few years ago and loved it. The Audio was a treat I stashed for long listen opportunities. This is not a 5 star because there is so much graphic sex - I think the less mature me liked it but multiple sex scenes area cue to fast forward for me now. The problem with so many minuTes dedicated to sexy business is that there is a lot less story. And I am pretty sure I am over almost instalove. Some of the dramatic events felt contrived to show main characters their respective courage and vulnerability.
And the narrator is MUCH better at 1.25 speed. Her normal delivery is like sitting in a circle and having teacher read methodically whilst pointing out the lovely pictures.
I will continue listening to the series but may prefer reading the author rather than listening.

Shaping a new world

Good story. I enjoyed having only Jillian Macie as the narrator. As before with the first novel, not enough development or details. Just jugs along.

Hated the heroine.... she ruined the story

I loved everything in the book except the heroine. I'm sorry but she was so damn whiny and bitchy, The hero was a prince and she was a toad. But the rest of the story was great!

Dark Planet Falling

I really liked book 2 but I did not really care for the Prince and his story. It was definetly insta love. The story still had a good plot with action and heat.

I missed Todd McLaren's voice this round, but there is definitely no love lost for this second book.

Listening suggestion

I have enjoyed this Dark Planet Warrior series so much that I have gone through it three times. However, the timeline on this series is weird. It keeps jumping around. I have enjoyed the series more when I listen to it in this order; Books one, four, five and seven; Followed by books two, three, six and eight. Books four, five, and seven tells the adventures of the general’s troops while they wait for the general to return to earth. Books Two, three, six and eight describes the events following the general’s return to earth. In fact, in book two, a vague reference to books four, five and seven is made when the prince talks about the Kordolions that have come to earth before him. It’s a great series so enjoy.

Great sci-fi romance series!

This second audiobook in this series was very entertaining! The story of Zakikian and Serra was romantic and the action kept my attention throughout the story. We also see the General and Abby again, as the followers of the General pull away from the Empire. The narration was excellent!

Great listen

I love the story line. And the narrator is amazing. It is very sensual. I wish she narrated all of the books.
