Publisher's summary
Ruby's known the guys in her string quartet forever. There's Jonathan, the bossy lead violinist, and Steve, the cellist, who plays ref when they're at each other's throats. Then there's Ethan, the viola player. After five years, he's still a mystery: quiet, unassuming, and intensely dedicated to the music they create.
Who would've thought he'd be the one to step up and comfort her after a wedding-reception gig goes haywire? Who would've thought they'd end up in each other's arms?
And who would've thought he'd know how to tilt her world sideways using only his voice, his fingers, and a bundle of rope?

Just erotica, but very good erotica!
Don’t expect a very developed story. It’s kinky erotica, period. But a good one, especially as an audiobook.
It seemed counterintuitive to have a multicast recording for a short erotica story, but that’s what makes it so good. The book is the first of a series of short stories about Ruby and the three men who work with her in the quartet. Each book focuses on the relationship between Ruby and one of those men, so having them interpreted by three different male narrators, and introducing them right from the beginning, makes sense.
The female narrator is great, and the whole book is through her point of view. And the male narrators, with their bouncy energy and their different styles of narration, made the book very enjoyable. And I really enjoyed the honest conversation between Ruby and Ethan.
As for the one playing Ethan, he conveys the friendliness and the calm of the character very well. That makes the sexy scene sizzling hot.
Just erotica, but very good erotica!

classical music meets kink
This short novella was super cute to me. As a former orchestra girl I love the premise of this and the shenanigan's rang true to a certain extent. Its actually a pretty well rounded story considering its so short. You are dropped into the middle of the story and I didn't feel like I missed anything.. The personalities are established.. While everyone is listed...this particular story is mainly about Ruby and Ethan voiced by Ava and Connor. You do get a few group interactions with the whole cast (Teddy and Jason) but not much. I "think" Jason Clark is the next guy/ Teddy Hamilton and then book 4 is a "group event" I hate/tolerate the abrupt ending and having to wait 2-3 weeks for the next installment... It looks like the all 4 will be grouped together in a boxset in Sept....I dont know if I have the patience to wait THAT long...esp when each book is less than $5.

A hot, kinky quickie
This started off quite raunchy (no spoilers), and I'm not complaining. A string quartet (3 guys, 1 lady) is performing at a wedding. They're friends and have traveled all over the world performing. There's an attraction between a couple in this group (Ethan and Ruby), and they decide to explore it.
This was a quickie (1 hr 20 mins), so there isn't a lot of depth to this story, but I think it succeeds at what it is; a quick and dirty BDSM romp, with some sweet added in to up the romance. There are 4 books/audiobooks, and each quartet member has their story. Each story releases a month apart, so you don't have to wait too long.
I was so excited to get Jason Clarke, Ava Lucas, Teddy Hamilton, and Connor Crais narrating this series. I just wish it was longer.

What was that?
This was anti climatic!
I was excited to have Jason Clarke and Teddy Hamilton in one book! I thought whoa! It’s going down now and not a tad bit later! 😆 but I was so so so disappointed! Why oh whhhyyyy have these amazing performers that hardly perform? Who is doing this? I even got this book reserved 🙄
The story itself is alright (can’t get over it) it’s about a 2 day events in a life of a girl who is in a string quartet wanting to try kinky stuff. I’m so so so disappointed! They could have had anyone… what a waste of talent… ah well.
I was left feeling ho hum… it wasn’t worth the credit I spent… I would have not be as disappointed had this book been one of the ones included with the membership.

Narrators make this book!
This is the start of Ethan and Ruby's story. Love the kink in it!! The narrators are fantastic, Connor Crais as Ethan is *chefs kiss*, plus you have Jason Clarke and Teddy Hamilton too, ughhh swoon. Ava Lucas isnt my favorite, but she did a good job.
The downfall with this book and the rest in the series is they are roughly about 1-2hrs, for me thats definitely not worth the credit. However, the complete series that comes out in 9/2021 would be worth it!! I will be waiting to get that boxset instead of the rest of individual books.
The story was ok, the sex was good. Honestly, if it wasn't for the narrators I wouldnt have bought this one. They make it for me. I'm curious about the rest of the series and Ruby's story. It doesn't leave this book on a cliffhanger, however it feels extremely unfinished. This is book 1 of 4 in the series. Definitely recommend the Box set.
