First the choice of a British narrator for a book set in New York with a cast of white and POC was definitely a choice, but she has a very dry delivery and quite a few mispronounced words that took me out the moment in a few places. Storyline was hot and steamy like it should be but not super imaginative for my taste.

A well written and nicely narrated Audiobook. It's focus is on the darker side of a BDSM D/s master-slave relationship. It details not only some of the various and extreme physical components of BDSM, but the psychological- emotional aspects the characters navigate throughout the story. As the story unfolds you gain insight into each character's personal struggles, challenges and understanding of themselves and each other as each try to reveal and attain that their true psycho-sexual needs are met.

Warning: there are a few very descriptive scenes of extreme sado-masochistic interactions that may trigger/ upset some readers/ listeners.
