About this listen

Dax: I was a fighter. I was good at it. When I met Laura I thought I was having a round of hot sex like usual. When I saw her for who she truly was, I wanted more. A lot more. She had her own problems but I wasn't ready to let go just yet. I'll fight for what I want even if she does push me away.

Laura: I have a past that won't go away. Literally. Hector hasn't gotten the message that I don't want him. A night with Dax turns into more. I didn't plan on it. Every single time I turned around, he was there and I found myself liking it. But Hector remains a problem. A problem that quickly gets out of hand.

This is a great story, it grabbed both my attention and my heart right from the start and held it straight to the end. Erin Trejo is a gifted author she creates storylines that are raw and real, her characters are complex and well developed. Her MC world has some badass bikers, some are dark and dangerous but there is a great camaraderie between. Dax, is swoon worthy, a biker, fighter and a rocker, he is also cocky and full of himself, but not in a bad way. He is full of humor and charm. Laura is stuck in a terrible living situation, her ex refuses to leave her house, a house her mother left her and he is abusive and controlling over her. She fights back as much as she can but he overpowers her. She has a great job working in the hospital and a great friend, Aubrie. Aubrie convinces her to come to the club, listen to some music and have a good time. She catches Dax’s eye and he wants her and goes after her. She is not like any of the club hoes and he wants in. After a day of hell and a few too many drinks Laura winds up doing a couple of things she normally would not do, one of which is Dax. There is great chemistry between them and when he sees her bruises he knows someone is doing her wrong. Abusing woman is one of his pet peeves and it brings out his protective mode. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is plotted out nicely with plenty of drama, action, angst, some some thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt moments, heartbreaking ones too all this and some smoking hot scenes and romance. I liked how Dax kept his humor even in the toughest of situations and some of the dialogue that come out of his mouth was hysterical. Erin Trejo, thank you for this terrific story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

Michael Sullivan did a terrific job narrating and bringing the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleaser to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

I loved reading Dax's story. I am slowly going through the Knights of Sin MC and for some reason, Dax seems to be my favorite so far. Even through everything with Laura, he found ways to keep his humor and made everything lighthearted and it helped. His connection and attraction to Laura was immediate and I found myself on edge waiting to see what would happen. The narrator did a great job of bringing the characters to life which helped keep me enthralled.

Exciting and Gritty!
