Publisher's summary
While cramming to get a paper for her psych class done, Angie meets Brian at the local coffee shop. He's a nice guy, but after a brief meeting Angie decides to head back to her place. As soon as she leaves the coffee shop, though, it starts to pour, and damn it's cold! Luckily Brian shows up and helps her home so she can get dried off...right before he gets her wet all over again.
Angie graduated a year early with her high school fast track. And when she found out that she was eligible for a scholarship for her first year of college, she moved into a small apartment near campus. Even though her parents treated her like an adult, she wanted the freedom that her own place gave her, and this northern school didn't require first-year students to stay in the dorm. There wasn't much to it, but it was hers and hers alone. She enjoyed the independent feeling.
When Angie got up on Friday morning, she knew that it would be a long weekend for her. She had a huge research paper to write for her psychology class. Thankfully she had finished the majority of the research on serial killers and just had to write the actual paper. She knew she couldn't afford any distractions. The more she focused, the faster she knew the paper would be finished.
Angie set about working on her paper, determined to finish the task. She sat at her desk, organized her notes, drew up her outline, and started to write. She found herself so focused on what she was doing that she completely lost track of the time. The sun was already going down, and she hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast. She packed up her notes and her laptop, grabbed her purse, and headed out the door. "I'll just go to the coffee shop. I can get something light and still work." It seemed like the perfect plan.
