About this listen

Originally published under the same title through Leta Blake's former pen name, Blake Moreno.

Heat can be sold, but love is earned.

In a world where omegas sell their heat for profit, Adrien is a university student in need of funding. With no family to fall back on, he reluctantly allows the university's matcher to offer his virgin heat for auction online. Anxious, but aware this is the reality of life for all omegas, Adrien hopes whoever wins his heat will be kind.

Heath - a wealthy, older alpha - is rocked by the young man's resemblance to his dead lover, Nathan. When Heath discovers Adrien is Nathan’s lost son from his first heat years before they met, he becomes obsessed with the idea of reclaiming a piece of Nathan.

Heath buys Adrien’s heat with only one motivation: to impregnate Adrien, claim the child, and move on. But their undeniable passion shocks him. Adrien doesn't know what to make of the handsome, mysterious stranger he's pledged his body to, but he’s soon swept away in the heat of the moment and surrenders to Heath entirely.

Once Adrien is pregnant, Heath secrets him away to his immense and secluded home. As the birth draws near, Heath grows to love Adrien for the man he is, not just for his connection to Nathan. Unaware of Heath's past with his omega parent and coming to depend on him heart and soul, Adrien begins to fall as well.

But as their love blossoms, Nathan's shadow looms. Can Heath keep his new love and the child they've made together once Adrien discovers his secrets?

Heat for Sale is a stand-alone m/m erotic romance by Leta Blake, writing as Blake Moreno. Infused with a du Maurier Rebecca-style secret, it features a well-realized omegaverse, an age gap, dominance and submission, heats, knotting, and scorching hot scenes.

Hard to listen to.

I recently got into the Omegaverse and Leta Blake. The Heat of love Books are great and I love to world building about it. This one how ever made me feel a certain way and hit some things that made it so I couldn't finish it. I loved Adrian in the story and ultimately massively discusted by Heath. This isn’t a love story, it's more of a Stockholm story. The world seems to be massively dystopian and feels to glorify selling virgins. Heath is a broken man who can't give up his lost love and ultimately uses his desire to buy his stepson. While that said Blake's ability to make you care for the world created and invoke emotions to you to feel is a true gift. Blake is an incredible writer and while I don't like this story it doesn't mean you won't. I throughly enjoy Blake's books this one isn’t for me though.

Heated....

Heat for Sale by Leta Blake takes place in an intriguing omegaverse where it is common for omegas to sell the heats and breeding.  This story has secrets, drama, and a whole lot of heat.  There is an age gap with a dominance/submission aspect that steams up the scenes.  Heath and Adrien may start out as a heat transaction, but their connection and interactions quickly feel much more real than that.  Loved it!

Michael Dean narrates the story and provides an enjoyable voice performance that entertains and satisfies.

Very Enjoyable

Heat for Sale is a wonderfully written fascinating mpreg story about Adrien, an omega college student, and Heath, a wealthy alpha. Adrien needs money to stay in school and become a professor so he decides to sell his first heat to the highest bidder. Heath wins Adrien's heat and the right to breed him. Heath has selfish reasons, at first, for bidding on Adrien and wanting a child with him. This is a hot and steamy book as alphas and omegas need to constantly be close during a pregnancy. I enjoyed watching Heath fall in love with Adrien just as he was and not become of where he came from. They really are so good together as they learn to love and trust one another.
Narrator Michael Dean does another amazing job. He is such a joy to listen to.

SCORCHING HOT & FILTHY 🔥🔥

This was DIRTY!...

And I loved every filthy word of this erotic omegaverse story!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Honestly, this was a pornalicious delight that was well written (it's Leta Blake, after all). Thank the gods for proper, well-written smut! Michael Dean was AMAZING here! I'm so used to him doing fluffier stories, but he did this sex-filled omegaverse proud!

Cash starved omega puts his virginity, first heat, and breeding up for auction. Broken-hearted alpha bids on him because he realizes this beautiful omega is his dead lover's son.

Yeah, this is too good to miss. MPREG, knotting, slick, dirty talk, and lust....you just need this in your life. Trust me!

Adrien and Heath

Adrien is an omega student finding that he’s running out of money to pay for his education. So with his first heat coming up he decides to auction it off so he can pay for the rest of his schooling. Heath is a rich and powerful alpha, still smarting from the death of an omega he gave his heart to many years ago. When he finds out about Adrien's auction, he is struck by the resemblance to his dead omega. This story was well written with suspense and anticipation. Michael Dean did a great job narrating this story. I received an ARC of this audio for my honest review.

Interesting

This was very well done. This type of omega heat is different than others I have read. In fact this whole world is kinda a throwback. I was glade to see how Heath and Adrien started and continued!

Michael Dean's performance is WONDERFUL as always!

In my humble opinion, Leta Blake is the queen of omegaverse. In 'Heat for Sale', we encounter another kind of alpha--one who has the capacity to love an omega for more than sex and offspring. In this particular males-only world, omega's have a right to sell their heat and to decide whether or not to bear young. They can decide whether to enter into a more traditional relationship with an alpha or grab the money and run when they've given birth, leaving their child in the care of the alpha. It's a world where the rich has all the advantage and the less wealthy must scramble to make do. It's a world where the omega can call the shots for financial gain. We meet omega Adrien, a university study who hopes his heat can earn him enough to finish his education and pay for his professorial certification. His heat is won at auction by Heath, the man who loved his omega father long after Adrien was born to a different alpha. Heath just wants a child--a living reminder of the omega lover who died years ago but finds himself falling in love with that omega's son. Leta Blake's world-building is meticulous, the character development is astounding, and the premise is absolutely astonishing! Michael Dean's narration is just perfect for this work. Wow, just wow!

Heat for Sale

Narration was typical.

Storyline was typical for a Leta Blake A/B/O universe.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Gay Romance Reviews and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Facing the past

In need of funding to continue his studies, Adrien does what any desperate omega would and sells his heat.
What he didn't expect though, was Heath. An older man who he would ve so drawn to.

Heath wanted a heir and when he comes across Adrien, he knows he has to have him, no matter the past or the future consequences.
Their connection was not something he had foreseen but time will only tell if their connection will last as secrets have a way of revealing themselves.

This was a well developed story, with scorching scenes, a bit of dominanation and submission, angst, family drama, facing ones past, secrets being revealed and a well deserved HEA.

The narrarion was a bit flat for me. The vocalizations pitching was bit high and then a bit low at times, it wasn't always smooth flowing. But, overall an enjoyable listen.

Good place to get your fix for something naughty

This was highly erotic and sometimes just super out there and weird with its plot. I really have a guilty pleasure with this kind of omegaverse world this author thinks up.

The omegaverse is very similar to the authors Heat trilogy series. But it's smaller scope though doesn't really flesh it out too much but it may be helpful to be somewhat familiar with that series to understand and get a feel for the world better.

This book particularly is mostly all about the naughty scenes. I really didn't get much from the relationships like some of her other work. I think maybe it just wasn't long enough to really deep dive and flesh out the characters slowly into their relationship. It somewhat jumped right in and didn't feel as natural or believable.

The characters wernt my favorite either. Again, I think this is mostly due to the short length, but I found them all the feel kinda hollow. This book is so small on scope too with the majority of the story taking place in one seemingly small area of a house, so it just doesn't give the characters a lot of space to move around and build up themselves.

The flaws in the relationship building though didn't deter me. I can suspend some disbelief and still enjoy some of the super weird Erotica plot and naughty scenes.

For a shorter book, it does the trick by giving you the fix you're looking for if you're trying to find a decent erotica.
