About this listen

Garrett Thorne is not just business tycoon, Ellison Thorne s mooch kid brother, Garrett secretly writes best-selling romance novels under the pen name, Tess Delaney. But when Tess wins the prestigious Golden Kiss Award, to keep his identity secret, Garrett will have to attend the ceremony in drag or find a woman to play Tess and go as her date. Cynical PR rep Kendra Davies doesn't believe in romance, but grudgingly agrees to play the part of Tess Delaney. All goes swimmingly until word gets out that Garrett is Tess’ toy boy. Kinky Kendra plays the part perfectly, inspiring Garrett to sizzling new heights of creativity. As lines blur between fiction and reality, can a romance writer and a cynic find their Happy Ever After before Tess Delaney is outed, and they both have to come clean?

Grace Marshall is the pen name of best-selling erotic author KD Grace. Her titles include, The Initiation of Ms. Holly, which has been favourably compared to Fifty Shades of Grey, The Pet Shop, and the paranormal erotic novel, Body Temperature and Rising, the first book of her Lakeland Heatwave trilogy. When she’s not writing, KD is veg gardening or walking. She walks her stories, and she’s serious about it. She and her husband recently walked the Coast to Coast route across England. For her, inspiration is directly proportionate to how quickly she wears out a pair of walking boots.

Okay book, Terrible Narrator

What disappointed you about Identity Crisis?

I enjoyed the first book in this series, but remember being a bit annoyed with the narrator of that one as well. But this book was hard to get through. She was awful. There were times I couldn't tell who was supposed to be speaking. Her portrayl of Garret was more feminine sounding than that of Kendra Davis.

Would you recommend Identity Crisis to your friends? Why or why not?

No unless it was a daily deal and you have nothing on your wish list. Again, the narration was awful

Would you be willing to try another one of Rebecca Rogers’s performances?

No, I will stay far away.

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
