Didn’t like that the MMC narrator changed for second book.. but he was still good as Malachai. Not great, like Joe Arden was, but good. As far as storyline.. the ending felt rushed. Lot of new characters that I had trouble remembering and just honestly confused at who was who. I felt instead of retelling of the first book the entire part 1 in MMC POV.. she could’ve gone more into detail about the antagonist Russian mafia group..

A little confused but still satisfied

I absolutely love Leigh Rivers and an unhinged taboo book haha! I have read and listened to Little Stranger and the switch of narrators for Malachi had me a little worried but Greyson did not disappoint one bit! I read Little Liar as soon as it came out as well as the Edge of Darkness Trilogy (hoping for an audio of this series). Listening always brings the characters to life. This audio was even better than Little Stranger and if you like this kind of book I highly recommend!!!!

A fantastic conclusion to the duet. I loved the growth we saw from Malachi, and seeing things more from his perspective. Grayson Owens did a wonderful job along side Heather Firth.

Loved it!

Glad I got to see things from Malachi’s POV and ohhh the betrayal. Loved it.

Book 1 really did it for me. The narration and the story really was everything. This was decent. The passion wasn’t the same and the story line also wasn’t my favorite but I did enjoy the outcome. I think I just really didn’t care for hearing about all the trauma at the beginning. We already knew why he was the way he was, but I did appreciate the insight on how his dad actually treated him. It definitely made me think about poppa Vise in a different way. Overall it was a good duet, and I will be keeping book 1 in my rotation!

It was nice.

The re cap in the beginning for 2 hours made me alil worried it was the whole audio book but then it got into the main story. I liked it, some of the characters almost had a butcher and blackbird feel. And Malachi’s childhood story was so sad poor baby 🥹

Love this series

Loved the second book of the duet. I think the only thing for me was that Joe Arden was a better Malachi when he was in his 20’s but Grayson Owens was a great older Malachi

Loved the book

I do with Joe Arden would have been apart of this, but I feel like over all the cast made the book really amazing! Been waiting for this book to come out for forever!!! So glad it ended up being done with such quality! All my favorite voice actors in one book!

Great second chapter!

Cried in the first chapter. My only real complaint is I feel like the ending was rushed. Maybe it’s just me. I think it’s just because I want more lol

Loved it
