Monica
I love the dead—a passion for them if you will. There’s nothing like cutting, collecting, and storing parts of them in jars.
Can you keep a secret for me?
What I’m doing is immoral, but I’ve found someone special to love. If anyone were to find out… You know what? Let’s hope that never happens, because
It’s Illegal!
Jax
I’m a King. If the elegant font scrolled across my breast pocket is any indication of the name I bear, then my arrogance is sure to do the rest.
Want more?
I’ve held hatred in my heart for a long time, and I’m striking while the iron is hot. Vengeance, power plays, and manipulation are what I’m here for. We can even add murder to the table. Nothing is off-limits. Not even my girl’s toy, and...
He’s DEAD.

What can I say other than they were made for each other! She’s dark and crosses lines she didn’t think she could. And he makes her realize just what she’s capable of doing. And the fact that she willingly accepts what he does and joins in, it’s just romantic in a sick way haha! But I mean you’ll just have to read and find out for yourself if you dare.
Just remember, your mental health matters, if it’s too much, just stop reading/listening and step away. Move ti a different book and move on if you want!
Wow is all I can say!

Wonderful New To Me Author!

Examining my head seriously. I love pitch black romances and this is as graphic or macabre as they come. The only parallel i can draw is The Goodbye Man
This jars you to your bones.
Author has been VERY CLEAR about listing a CVS receipt length TRIGGER WARNINGS list.
Take them seriously.!!
There's a messed-in-the-head doctor Jax/King who has been wronged and abused as a child. His only solace, his mother unalived, so I kinda get that he has nothing good in his life that can hold him back.
Inner demons are unleashed, as he legit massacres any good in the world. "If he's not at peace, the world might as well burn", is his motto.
But other side is Funeral parlour owner, Monica, who is generally bullied for her goth looks, very Addams Family kinds.
She is a virgin and partakers in questionable sex to sate her horn iness.
Obviously king and Monica are drawn to each other and the immoral, unethical and illegal gory proclivities are a boon for both these butchered souls.
I knew EXACTLY what I was getting into, and I cringe-loved the book
It says more about my inky soul than the author's so there's that
Raven wildwood and Sean masters have narrated beautifully.
I look forward to reading some more of this author

Sean Masters’ deep, commanding voice is perfect for Jax, while Raven Wildewood delivers a striking performance as Monica. Their dual narration adds an unsettling intimacy to this twisted tale.
The story begins with Jax unaliving his corrupt twin brother, Jeremy, and assuming his identity as a doctor. Monica, an outcasted loner, runs her family's funeral home as the mortician. One night, she is brought a "Johnny", whom she becomes obsessed with. If you've read the triggers, you know what happens next.
From there, manipulation, depravity, and shockingly dark humor weave through a story that somehow still manages to be an unconventional love story.
Ayden Perry’s writing is as outrageous as the plot itself, with terms like “creamy love,” “popsicle,” "kebob", and “Pringles can” making already shocking moments even more absurd. This book is not for the faint of heart. Read the trigger warnings. But if you can handle extreme horror with a side of pitch-black comedy, Living Dead Girl is absolutely BRILLIANT.
Brilliant!

This is the first book of Ayden's that I have read, and it won't be my last. Let me start with that this book is not for everyone so please check warnings before jumping in.
There were definitely many scenes where I was questioning what I was reading. But I was totally here for it. I got sucked in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see how it was going to all play out.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Jax and Monica. They definitely speak to each other's dark side.
I would recommend this book if you're looking for a splatterpunk romance.
