This book has almost every TW known if not all it's extremely dark .... non con , dub con, self harm, mutilation, stalking, gaslighting, manipluation, mental unstability, extreme violence, captor/captive/slaughter, depravity etc... Not for the faint hearted or easily churned stomach!



I really like the plot and the storyline with Julian's family shrouded and in mystery and Morgana's family in deceit. This had all the dark themes i like but I must say even my boundaries were pushed. For most of this book it had me in a chokehold leaving me with more questions than answers and then when i finally thought i had most of my answers the book throws me through a loop with a mindblowing cliffhanger. I have to put all the pieces together so I'm off to the next😵‍💫😵😂 .The story is good but the male narration was ughh 😩 so dreadful.

This book is the fantastic start to one of my favorite series. The story is dark and wonderfully depraved.

I previously read the book and love the series. I decided to refresh myself with the series in anticipation of book 6 & 7 releasing soon. The narrators voices were eh, disappointing.
So glad it didn't take away from the story.

This book is vile, disgusting, very sexual and I loved it! The narrators were great. The love story is so twisted that I had to cover my mouth from screaming. This may not be the one for you if you have any triggers. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

This book was FANTASTIC! The narrators were simply PERFECT! They really lived the roles they were playing. I mean, the sighs and the moans were effortless.
The story, wow the story. Natalie Bennett is an excellett dark story teller. I say it everytime but she feeds my dark needs expertly. THAT ENDING THOUGH!

If you have read anything by Natalie Bennett you know her books are dark and twisty and this book is just that! It's gruesome, twisted, sinful and sexy! This whole book should have a trigger warning label. Everywhere page is deliciously dark! & I don't mean that lightly! The world of Dahlia she is creating is so addictive and enticing I can not wait to gey my hands on the next book! If you love Natalie Bennett you will love this book!

The narrators were both awful. Almost turned it off multiple times. The plot was thin. Won’t be reading the sequels.

Bad readers

The male narrator is really bad extremely bad. He ends every sentence like it’s a question it makes the book unlistenable. I couldn’t understand what was happening in the story, I was so confused.
