Narration Rex J. Silverton, pretty good, sexy voice. This is kind of a sultry performance.

So for starters, I have not read the first book in this series, but now I really want to!
Second, this is a BDSM story heavy on the SM which is not my kink, but I still found it to be erotic and hot at times. If the BDSM world is not your thing, then I would recommend staying away from this.
If you find yourself sometimes enjoying things that you "think" you shouldn't, then I would definitely suggest giving this a try.

There is a strange dynamic in this story really between all three primary characters. The Master/slave relationship is also not my kink but I am always curious about the mindset of the person in the slave role. (I Must read book 1) What they're thinking, what kind of needs are being met with this type of relationship. It may not be my thing, but I always try to understand where they are coming from. This sub's needs are not really being fully met and yet she is in a comfortable place and doesn't feel that she wants for anything. But Mephisto sees something in Molly that her Master seems to be overlooking. And has maybe even realized something that's missing from his life. There is definitely more story to come and I'm on board for the next book!

Sultry, Erotic, S/M

This is a gritty story of people living the Master/slave lifestyle. As such, it's edgier than romance or erotica books that dip their toes in the BDSM pool or even those with a more realistic view of it that are heavily focused on love and romance. It's much more like The Marketplace than it is The Crossfire Series. It's well-written and held my interest, though I can't say it was a feel-good read or even one with an HEA. I think that, for what it is, it's fantastic, though in general, it's not the kind of book I listen to very often.

RJS has a the right tone and voice for this type of audiobook. There isn't much in the way of female dialogue, but he does a believable job with those parts and doesn't sound like a guy trying to imitate a woman's voice. He performs with a depth of emotion and nuance which results in the audiobook being an enhancement of the book experience, as opposed to (I'm sorry) far too many narrators that end up turning the listener off the work of the author by not giving it enough of their attention. He didn't just read the words, he delivered them in the way I believe the author intended.

I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review. The number of stars is based on where I believe this audiobook rates with other audiobooks of the same type, length and general feel-- not where it rates in comparison to all audiobooks of all time.

Great book that I read and listened to. Incredible voice. Very strong and sexy. I read also other books in this series so it was interesting to listen to a male POV. He was ruthless but I think he already loved her. I loved that he wanted to see her as more then just slave. One of the difficult scenes was the scene where he punished her for speaking. I would also suggest to read and listen to author's Ballet series.
