About this listen

If you liked Bridgewater County, you don’t want to miss this hot new series full of wild mountain men!

We want Kit Lancaster. We’ve wanted her for years. Both of us. Me and Donovan. It might not be normal for two guys to claim a woman together, but we live in Cutthroat, Montana, and we’ll do what we want.

And what we want to do is Kit. What could get in the way?

Oh yeah, a little thing called murder. And since I’m the lead detective and Donovan’s the prosecutor, it might not be the smartest thing to bed the prime suspect.

As if that would stop us!

Not a whole book.

Kit finds her friend/employer dead in the living room. They'd been friends since high school.
Now she's the main suspect.
The Detective and Prosecutor are the guys she ran away from. Now they want to protect her.
Sadly, there is no conclusion, so this is just a pre-amble. We don't know who killed her friend and she's still a suspect.

Narration 👎

The story is soso; but the narration needs lots of help. The book definitely needs a male narrator for the men!

A Good Start

This was a short quick read that I also listened to on audio. Detective Nixon "Nix" Knight and best friend, Donovan Nash from the DA’s office to learn that Kittredge "Kit" Lancaster is back in town they have wanted her for years. Kit was in love with both Nix and Donovan but she misunderstood what she saw before she ran away and now it is time to lay the facts out and clear the air. When Erin Mills is murdered Kit becomes a suspect both men will do anything to protect her. This was a good read the sex scene was hot. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I also liked the narration of this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book in this series as this book left off on a cliffhanger.

This could be a great book… but that narrator

Story is eh. It could be great with a lot of tweaking. It would be much better with a male and female narrator. The narrator though ruins any good the book has. She sounds juvenile, like she lacks the intellectual ability to understand how to articulate words in a microphone. Words ending in a ‘T’ come out with an ‘h’ sound (but=buh, about=abouh, not=noh) She often sounds robotic too. Like she isn’t sure how the end of a sentence should sound. I wouldn’t pay for any of these books. Good thing for the author they’re all free.

Very unemotional narrator

The story is magnificent, however, the narrator makes it much more dull than it is. She is just straight out reading the sentences. Some parts should have emotion put into the words. If the story wasn't so good I would have quit in chapter 2.
