About this listen

Her heart belonged to master and so did her body! What starts out as a friendly and kinky online chat explodes into an intense lust-at-first-site hookup after Kay and Jon get together when she travels from California to New York on business. Over the course of six age-play novelettes, now combined into this wonderfully erotic novel, their relationship develops via racy video chats, emails, phone calls, and texts, plus visits to the San Francisco Bay Area by Jon. Despite fully embracing her submissiveness to the dominant Jon, Kay has a little domme in her, which she indulges with local male and female playmates, and even on occasion with Jon. Theirs is a flexible D/s relationship that in no way resembles lifestyle BDSM, though equally kinky - heavy into erotic pleasure-pain sex.

Includes: "The Master's Little Girl", "The Master's Little Miss", "The Master's Little Toy", "The Master's Little Mess", "The Master's Little Jewel", and "The Master's Little Angel".

she discovers what really excites her

Would you listen to My Heart Belongs To... again? Why?

yes - it has many mini-stories of a variety of situations

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would go into more detail about the encounters between the support characters such as Fred & Joe, Jack & Paul, as well as Kay's encounter with Jack & Terry

Would you be willing to try another one of Jazmin Kensington’s performances?

Yes. It was well enunciated & clear.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes. It required keeping track of many characters

Any additional comments?

It's an epic story of a woman's journey of many varied relationships

Something for everyone (who's into kinky stuff)

R. Grecco manages to include a broad range of kinkiness in this well written novel. There are far to many kinks to list here, but there's almost sure to be something in this book that will appeal to any kink erotica fan. Well written with a good story arc and well developed characters, not to mention some very hot erotic scenes.

The narration by Jazmin Kensington is fabulous, her voice makes this a listening experience.

,

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No, I was not a fan of the narrator. She sounded more like a grandma and that just completely turned me off on this book from the very beginning.

What could R. Greco have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I think the author has talent and it is a good book, it just was not my style or type of book.

How could the performance have been better?

Maybe a different narrator

Did My Heart Belongs To... inspire you to do anything?

Not that I recall

Any additional comments?

I'm a little torn between writing too much and writing too little in this review. Overall I feel like I could do a pro/con list of what I did and didn't like but I know (as an author myself) that I'd hate that. Besides the book isn't bad it's just got this one major flaw that spoils it for me.

Before I get to that, however, let me comment on the narrator because she contributed to the problem. She sounds like a pleasant old grand mother reading a story to a child that just happens to be filled with sexual situations, crude language and revelations that no body wants about grandma. Keep that in mind as I describe the main character.

So the main character of this book is around her late 30s or early 40s and hangs out with women in the same general age range. She's a divorcee who is bisexual, doms two guys by allowing them to engage in their own bisexuality, considers sleeping with her friends and engages in an age-play long distance relationship with a dominant man but who is NOT (in her own mind) particularly kinky. I have no idea what the character considers the defining line between kinky/not kinky but it certainly differs from my definition. That said she's not unlikable. She's adaptive and intelligent, submitting or dominating in a caring and sexually adventurous yet nurturing way but she's not sexy. She uses phrases from the 40s and 50s as if a presumably modern woman would talk like that (given her mockery of hipters I assume she's not doing it ironically), she refers to her vagina as her "puss puss" even when not doing her little girl voice and she's exceedingly crude. A line such as "pissed out my fingers" should just never be spoken. The character takes an admittedly hot situation and makes it awkward and uncomfortable. Which is even more of a problem when dealing with an age-play story where a grown woman behaves like a young child.

With the narrator voicing her it just all comes together to make me picture Betty White engaging in these kinky escapades and that kept me from really losing myself in the fantasy. There were moments, however, of self-deprecating humor about these things that balanced it out to some degree. For a while (around the 3:35:10 mark in the audiobook) the character starts switching between first and third person narration and soon after she comments on it and how her thoughts on the situation are diverging. Here too I should be thinking artistic situation analysis but am instead thinking oh no grandma's got dementia!

I do think the author has a very creative style and there are many situations here that I found rather exciting but it just fell flat for me with this book.

Thinking outside the box after this one...

This series of short novellas definitely took my imagination to a whole new level. While this book took me beyond my comfort zone it also made me think outside the box of "normal" relationship standards and protocol based on societies expectations. I enjoyed this series and definitely will be rereading.

Discovering One's Desires!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. The author really makes us see the character development of several characters. This book follows Kay as she explores her sexual fantasies and erotic desires. Some of her friends even become active participants. Jon starts out as a man that visits Kay when he is in town. Although their meetings at first are sexually erotic, we see gradual changes as time progresses. All participants are willing and no one is forced. The narrator does a great job of making the listener feel the emotions and experience the personalities of these characters. This is quite an erotic trip of sexual fantasies.
