I never really knew just how life-saving mouth-to-mouth resuscitation could be.
By all means, I shouldn't be feeling nearly as pissy over the course of this vacation as I am. The atmosphere is sublime, the circumstances are almost surreally beautiful in some ways, and I'm about as spoiled and as pampered as I could possibly hope to be.
But, in many other ways, I feel as though I'm being seriously left in the lurch. My husband, Darren, has spent the entirety of what was supposed to be a romantic week-long getaway talking business on his cell phone, and by and large, left me so alone throughout my days that I feel like pulling my hair out.
That's when I decide to go for a swim, thinking that maybe I can put a bit of this discontent out of my mind for a while. But somehow, without even realizing it, I end up starting to drown, unable to come back up to the surface, and my field of vision going black before my eyes.
I'm saved, thank God, by the good graces of my attractive, buxom brunette lifeguard, who pulls me from the water and literally breathes the life back into me. And things, I'm about to find, escalate into far more intimate territory from there.

It was around 2 hours long; the second half is a different story altogether, some kind of m-f romance (or erotica? not sure) that I had zero interest in so I'm ignoring it / excluding it from the review. Of the 1 hour for this story, about 1/3 of it revolved around the MC's unhappy marriage, including explicit sex with her pompous husband. I didn't particularly like that. The narrator also wasn't very sensual, which took away from the story. I'm going to stay away from erotica from this author.

There is a bonus story of one of the author's Stepbrother romances and it is clearly stated in the audio 'Bonus content' before the title and actual story begins. That story has more surprise moments and humor to it.
Overall, about 3.5 stars.

What disappointed you about Out of Breath! Saved by My Lesbian Lifeguard?
First off it's supposed should be a lesbian book but the first 20 minutes of it is heterosexual sex between a girl and her boyfriend. Then about an hour into the book it all the sudden switches completely to a different book that makes no sense and no transition to lead into it. The second half of the weird book was all about a man and a woman as well so the title lesbian on the book is misleadingWould you ever listen to anything by R.P. James again?
