Story was good. The male narrator was amazing when voicing male characters but was clownish when voicing female characters (which was really unfortunate).

Definitely dark. Not really quite to my taste. TW's did touch upon things I've never read before. My curiosity keep me reading, with a raised eyebrow or two.

I love the premise of the story. I thought the setup was great but the story was rushed so fast that they jumped over and therefore cut out really what could have been strength of the story if you're interested in that damsel distress narrative, that's what this is. however, it was really rushed to the point where it didn't seem realistic.
I gave it pretty decent star reviews because I did listen to it in one day but wasn't my favorite no. will I listen to it again? probably not

I popped this one on audible to do some reading catch up and it was a pretty quick listen. Very steamy, fast paced, short read. I like this whole series, plenty of tropes and authors to choose from!

I wish someone saved me the trouble and wrote a review, then I would have not wasted my time with this book, the writing is amateur at best, it is touted as a erotic book, it isn't, I think the writer thinks just give them sex and we can call it erotic, this book is boring, badly written.

The Heaven & Hell series (of complete standalones) has been hit or miss for me, and this one was a total miss. I was really short compared to all but one of the others, and that didn't allow for much time to get to know our characters, or for their relationship to develop. But instalove isn't an automatic dislike for me, so that wasn't it here. I feel like the story didn't make sense. I get the plot, but it felt like there were plotholes throughout. And there was also something about the writing that didn't jive with me. I have a lot of books by this author, but I don't think that I have every read her before. I am hoping that this was just a one off and not telling of what I can look forward to with other books.

I listened to the audiobook for this book, and while the voicing was well done, I'm glad that this one was free through Audible Plus, because I would have been upset if I had paid for it.
