About this listen

Mackenzie

He could be the one, really, the one. He seems like a great guy. He has a rock-hard amazing body, a gorgeous face with a smile that melts my panties, and sexually–oh yeah! No need to elaborate. The only problem is I don’t remember meeting him or going home with him, which is something I never do, never. I didn’t even know his name when I woke up beside him. I’m pretty sure I was roofied by someone that night I was out with all my coworkers at some bar I’ve never been to before. I don’t think it was him, though. I mean, seriously, he doesn’t need to drug a woman to get her into his bed.

Andrew

I don’t do one-night stands, hookups, or pick-up women in bars anymore. I am looking for a relationship that will lead to marriage. I have a four-year-old little girl that I am completely responsible for. Her mother was out of the picture as soon as she was born, and I want a mother for her not a parade of bimbos in and out of her life. When I met Kenzie that night we hit it off instantly and I knew she was something special. I normally wouldn’t have brought her home, but it had been so long since I’d been with a woman, a self-imposed celibacy. And my daughter was with my mother for the night. Kenzie was incredibly open and personable, warm and fun, beautiful, sexy, and sensual. We had a great time at the bar and an even better time after we got back to my place. The only problem is, I don’t do drama and Kenzie appears to be drowning in it. If not, then she is in real trouble and needs my protection.

This series contains graphic sexual content and is intended for mature listeners only. All books are stand-alone stories and while the story does continue from one book to the next, they do not need to be read in order.

Kenzie and Andy

This is my first story by Charlie Roberts, and I will look for more of this author’s work in the future. Well done. The romance story is different than any other I have read/listened to. It was different enough to keep me interested even in the slower parts. There are some semi-hot scenes (could use some work on the erotica aspect). It was suspenseful and made you want to find out what could happen next. I liked the fact the single father put his child’s welfare first, but still had a love life. The characters are quirky, like real people, with details to make them true individuals. Narration was well done.

Loved It

I loved this whole story so much!! It started in a weird place (literally, for Kenzie) and I was nervous about whether the author was going to throw a 3rd act twist at me that would break my heart, but there was nothing about this story I didn't love when it was all said and done. It's well-written, beautifully paced, the characters are lovely, the drama is engaging, and I very much want to read stories for many of the secondary characters for this series. I loved it.

Romantic suspense with a single dad

I had never heard of this author before but I enjoyed this book. It takes place in Kentucky. Kenzie met Andy out one night at a bar. The problem, Kenzie didn't remember going home with Andy. Their relationship escalates quickly however. Andy owns a gym, was in the military, and has the sweetest little girl ever. Kenzie is smart, sassy, independent but is being stalked by someone. There are several supporting characters introduced that could easily have their own books. I think a lot of women hope to run into someone as nice and caring as Andy. There's a lot of suspense trying to figure out who is stalking Kenzie. The book is also spicy and sweet. The book also touches on how Kenzie suffers with PTSD and how she overcomes that.

Wow😲!! Fantastic😍!!

Mackenzie and Andrew had an unconventional start yet they didn't let that detour them from finding love 💓 with each other. Kenzie was what you would call a good girl. Andrew was a single father that was most definitely a stand up guy. You must read this book 📖 to find out what drama they endure right from the start. I promise you will love 💞 this book 📖!!!!💞❤️‍🔥💖♥️

I Enjoyed It

I enjoyed this book. I found the premise- the mystery of it- fascinating and couldn't wait to see where it would go. It was suspenseful and interesting. I liked both of the characters. I liked that Andrew put his young daughter's needs and stability first above his own wants. Kenzie was honest with him early on (though not immediately) and I liked how rational she was. They made a good match. This is my first book from this author.

I listened to this audiobook narrated by Connor Brown and Tegan Bourke. The female's voice is okay for Kenzie, but not much variety. Her voice for Andy was pretty much the same voice she used for Kenzie's friend, Margo.
