Carson Harding's marriage is falling apart.
Her husband's lies finally catch up to him, forcing her eyes open to what needs to be done.
Just when she finds the courage to walk away, consequences be damned - an accident changes everything. An accident that will force her to overcome more than a failed marriage.
Jason Hunter has seen it all working on squad truck.
Sometimes death is inevitable and he's learned to accept he can't always be the hero.
But something about the signal 41 he works leaves him wanting to be a hero...
For her.
Will the accident leave Carson broken forever or will Jason show her happiness in spite of tragedy?
Signal 41: Saving Carson is the first stand-alone in the Signal Series.
Mature reader warning: This audiobook contains a lot of panty-dropping sexiness! There is raw sexual language (aka dirty talk), a little violence, and tons of heat! It is intended for readers 18+ and fans of the naughty stuff. If that's you then be sure to check it out!

At first, I was unsure about Xander Stone as a narrator for this book, but after about 5 minutes I felt he was a good choice.
It was a nice, quick listen and I look forward to the rest of the series.
Good quick read

The book deals with the loss of a child, which is a difficult topic to write about, and it does it mostly well. Even the intimate scenes are seen as an escape from the pain--how a real relationship can come out of it, that’s a wonder though.
I think love comes too quickly here. Though I totally got how both characters could be attracted to each other, seek each other--the woman who’s lost everything and the man who wants to protect and help--I didn’t see the love, the connection. It could have happened later in the relationship, but so fast, I didn’t get it.
My main problem was with the manicheism in the story. On one hand, you have Carson’s husband, who’s a monster--he has no care for his wife or his kid, isn’t above mental and physical abuse--and on the other hand, Jason, a caregiver at heart and who’s ready to change his life for someone who he’s just met.
I also would have loved to know more about Jason’s past. His situation is barely brushed. Why had his parents’ death had such an impact? What is his day to day relationship with his coworkers?
It’s almost like the author had focused so much on the plot that she had forgotten to develop real characters to support it. So much potential! Maybe I’d have liked the book better if I had read it instead of listened to it.
So much potential!
