About this listen

I’ve been good long enough.

As the eldest son of Austin’s most prominent preacher, I’ve lived my life on the virtuous side. No scandals. Flawless image. Clean reputation.

That’s the way it must be if I’m going to take his place someday.

But everything changes when I find out my father is a VIP member of a local kink club.

A liar. A cheater. A hypocrite.

Now, I’m done being righteous.

And when the club owner’s jaded girlfriend comes to me with a proposal, I can’t resist.

Sage is nothing like the women I’ve dated before. Pink hair, tattoos, piercings. I know it’ll burn my father’s reputation to the ground when she and I are seen together.

But our fake dating scheme isn’t enough. We need videos—dirty videos.

The more we film these scenes, the more I like it.

She wants me to degrade her, hurt her, violate her.

And God help me, I want it too.

But it’s hardly fake anymore, and before long, I don’t recognize the Goode man I used to be.

Church & Sex

Wow,
This one really grabs you. Adam is in a very religious family who runs a powerful church in their town. He finds out it's not all it seems to be and works to take it down and expose his own father and the lies he built the church on.
You can really understand how men can take religion and mold it into their power to control people and gain all the power and money for themselves.
So what's stopping you from joining forces with someone from the sex club you caught dad holding the deed for and making some well themed sex tapes to 'accidentally' release? Nothing.
The performances, done in duet style were fantastic - soooo good. I enjoyed listening to this so much.

AMAZING STORY! PERFECT NARRATION!

OBSESSED with this book! 5 Stars/3.5 Peppers

"Sinners and Saints. Because everyone who enters is both."

My favorite Sara Cate book to date! She takes you on a journey of 2 characters who come from completely different worlds. Adam and Sage both have been deeply wounded by people in their lives, her boyfriend and business partner and his father and pastor of their mega church. Their plan to ruin Adam's reputation, and thus his hypocritical father's reputation, involved filming fake "sex" tapes and releasing them online. As this fake relationship develops, Adam and Sage begin to realize that they need each other and challenge each other in deep, emotional ways.

This book has strong vibes of Priest and Sinner by Sierra Simone- as an exploration of sex and spirituality, shame and the church. If you loved those books, you will really enjoy this one. If you thought those other books might have been boarderlining on content that made you feel uncomfortable, then I'd encourage you to try this one. I did not think that this book was as spicy as those.

This audiobook was incredible! This duet style narration is performed by Vivienne LaRue and Jacob Morgan. Jacob's portrayal of a broken and confused Adam was enough to break my heart multiple times. Vivienne was perfectly cast as Sage and I felt her pain and fear at certain points in the story. She has a beautiful tone.

Can't wait for more books in this series!!

This was a PERFORMANCE 🖤🔥

Story: 14/10
Spice: 5/5
Spice Hierarchy: Smut
Narration: 5/5

Adam has been wanting to be like his dad most of his life. To follow in his path and lead the mega church in Austin, Texas. Until he learns about his father’s actions behind closed doors. Then he enlists Sage’s help to really shake up and make his father atone. And let me say, they get really creative; they fake date at major events and even make videos 😳🔥It’s so much more than this but I don’t want to spoil any plot points and I worry I will because I loved it so much.

I don’t know how Sara does it. She writes these amazing stories that from anyone else would feel like just erotica. But Sara has this ability to add so much depth to these characters. Adam has been a “good Christian” man his whole life while Sage is an atheist. And yet, Sara makes it about more than that. She allows Adam to question his faith and what his upbringing has meant. As well as shedding light on the ways “good Christians” can stereotype people like Sage (tattoos, piercings, works at a sex club, etc.)

I swear every book Sara writes is a new kink unlocked for me. 🔥

This narration is absolutely top notch. When it says “she gasps”, there is an actual gasp from Vivienne! Or if Adam groans, so does Jacob’s narration. This 👏🏻was 👏🏻a 👏🏻performance.

Different but so, so good!

I was really excited to read this book and it did not disappoint! The inner demons both Sage and Adam face and overcome are so good, and the performance by the narrators are amazing! I can't wait for more from this series and Sara Cate!

Jacob Morgan, yes, pls.

Sara wrote an incredible book of self worth, identity and acceptance. Not only in the characters themselves, but each other too. Ive recently struggled w organized religion for the exact parts depicted within the book. I appreciated her perspective and the come to moment for Adam.

FANTASTIC!

Duet narration will forever be my favorite! Jacob Morgan never disappoints, and he was phenomenal as Adam! Vivienne Larue was perfection as Sage, I enjoyed her so much! Together, they were a fantastic duo! The story alone grabs your attention, but the voice acting brings a whole new dimension and really brings it all to life.

This story about love, church, religion, & breaking the rules that are ingrained into you is one of my favorite Sara Cate stories now! Adam & Sage are two opposite ends of the spectrum, but they have this pull to one another. I will say that I LOVED Adam's journey, as messy as it was.

This one hooked me, wouldn't let go, & took me for the emotional rollercoaster of my life that I enjoyed every (hotttt) second of!
