About this listen

He's mean.
And grumpy.
When he's on the ice, he's the most violent player out there.
But there's something about him I just can't shake.
There's a sweetness hiding under that gruff, brute exterior.
A little boy peeking out who wants to come out and play.
I never thought I'd be with someone like Tucker McKinstry.
But once I get past that rough hard shell, I can't imagine being with anyone else.

She's rainbows and sunshine, he's dark and bad-tempered. She's nothing but smiles, he's nothing but frowns. But somehow, they fit together perfectly.

A Grumpy/Sunshine love affair awaits! Book Two in The San Antonio Hyenas series featuring hockey's toughest player and the girl who steals his heart. Insta-love at its finest with no cheating and a super sweet HEA always guaranteed.

THE ENFORCER

Tucker and Jane. Jane and her friend are redoing his closet. Hes the most violent player on the ice. The Enforcer who takes care of his team mates. When they are making noise in his house and he wakes hes rude but Jane stands up to him. After several encounters they become close. He doesn't want her to see him being violent so hes been slacking off on the ice until she tells him to fight back. Humorous and some misunderstanding.

The Enforcer!

This is the second story "San Antonio Hyenas" series but can be enjoyed as a stand alone read. I really enjoy this authors short and quick reads. This is one such read about Tucker and Jane. It is a bit of a grumpy/sunshine with some connected characters and teammates. Tucker is the Enforcer for the Hyenas. He is a force to be reckoned with and is all tough and alpha. Jane has gone with Alina, a closet designer from the first book, to renovate Tucker's closets. They did not know he was home until he storms in and starts fussing at them. Jane is not deterred and puts Tucker in his place. This also starts a dance between them. This a fun read that is slightly over the top, steamy, sweet and cute.

The enforcer meets his match

Tucker McKinstry is the enforcer for the San Antonio Hyenas, he has earned his reputation for being mean and force to be reckoned with. He is a one-man army when it comes to protecting his team. Jane has just moved to San Antonio to work with Alina, who is opening a branch there. She first meets Tucker right after a game where he got pretty banged up. She helps clean up his face and catches the big man’s attention as she is just that much of a sweetie. It is not long before she realizes what is hiding behind that big exterior. Double virgins and a very steamy story.

The male narrator is one of my favorites, both bring the story to life.

Amazing

I loved this book when I read it and It was even better listening to it. Tucker is a big bad hockey enforcer who fights constantly and protects his friends. Jane is a small woman who is not afraid of Tucker. She shows Tucker that someone can be there to take care of him and love him. Tucker is a big softy for his woman and doesnt want to do anything to scare her.

story and audiobook are amazing

This was my review for the story: I enjoyed this story so much! Tucker is the brutal enforcer for the new formed hockey team, and he is a beast on the ice. He thinks he is too brutal for a woman. Then he meets sweet Jane, with a heart of gold, but can not stand bullies and stands up for it, Tucker falls in love....
And now the audiobook is also available. The narrators do a good job, as nearly always with Olivia T. Turner's audiobooks, as far as I am aware, there is a male and female narrator. I enjoyed liestening to them and did not get tired of the story. The very special beat and his angel. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I Enjoyed It

'She has an angelic innocence that is gripping me. It won’t let me go. I’ve never experienced anything like it before.
But along with that sweet innocence is a fiery passion that made me come alive. She wasn’t intimidated by me at all. She didn’t care about my fame or my size or my bad temper. She stood her ground and held her head high as she took me on.
It was at that moment I fell in love.'

I loved this book. It was such a sweet grumpy/sunshine romance. And true to Olivia fashion, instalove. Tucker was such a tough alpha male type who had no interest in girls. It took Jane standing up to his grouchiness during a job without fear or intimidation that awoke something in him. She was just as smitten with him and it was adorable to see her bring him flowers and check in on him. I liked that she wasn't meek and afraid to speak her mind or shy away from things. I like that she softened Tucker's violence a bit- at certain times. At others... *wink* We have a good antagonist to hate and it's somewhat satisfying- though I wanted more after the Instagram post. A very fun story.

I'd already read this in ebook a few months ago and was excited to get to listen to the audiobook version. I'm a big fan of Tor Thom's deep growly voice for these OTT alpha men. He's perfect for Tucker, who's as big, strong, and growly as they come. Fiona Clare did a good job for Jane. Though honestly she wasn't memorable. But this book didn't have much occasion for Jane to get very emotional to really make this actress push those emotions out there like would be needed in more dangerous stories.

My biggest complaint is that Tor didn't voice all the male roles and Fiona didn't voice all the female roles. They each did everyone in their chapters. So it just sounds really silly for Fiona to try and deepen her voice for growly Tucker, and for Tor to soften his voice for Jane when neither obviously can sound like the other.

Tucker and Jane

Amazing performance by these two narrators. Tucker and Jane meet when she s hired by him and they have an immediate connection. This book is fast paced and over the top but full of heat and depth. Definitely another good book in this series.

Cute instalove romance

This was a cute instalove romance. It was a short story with a fast pace. The storyline was interesting and I especially enjoyed how Tucker was able to be vulnerable with Jane. It was a good read.

Audiobook review: I really enjoyed the narration, especially the male narrator was fantastic.

Love the tale, FMC voice - meh

Having read the book version, I loved the tale already. Tor's voice is deep and growly, and a perfect fit. I'm not a huge fan of the FMC's voice, though. I've heard her on several other of Olivia's audio books - she's not terrible, I just don't think she's a fit for the age the FMC generally represents in Olivia's tales. Love the story, though.
