Soo annoying

Ok I get it the main character is supposed to be a smart independent female. But why is she soooo stupid? I get it she doesn't want to end up like her mother. So then why is she trying to keep the father of the baby from helping out, which is what her mother never got. I have a feeling most single mothers wouldn't throw out the chance to have anyone willing to help them. And it is illegal to adopt out a child without the father's consent. This makes me so annoyed that the author would just put that in there without research.

Narrator

Could not get past first chapter because of narrator! Horrible no depth in voice of character
