I Couldn't Connect With The Story

I am actually going to say this, but there was way too much sex in this book!! I know...slap me for saying that especially when that is the reason I read erotica!!

However, I think in any book when every other page is sex, sex, sex it gets real tired. The sex scenes were not that well written and for eroctica not very much detail.

First, I could not connect with the female character in this book Rita, because her behavior throughout the entire book did not make any sense! I understand that its a work of fiction, but even fiction should pull the reader in so that the reader can connect, understand and identify with the characters. For me,the author missed the mark with the beginning because she could've at least written the meeting between the main characters a bit more substantial than just sex, and unprotected sex (including oral) so one can at least find an excuse for Rita's later decision making. Imagine meeting a guy on a train, can't see his face, have unprotected sex (crazy), he leaves the train but at least gives you his number (how thoughtful), interfering friend texts him (desperate), he invites you to dinner at exclusive club ($$$), you arrive and is seated but is told he wants you to put on a blindfold (WTF), he comes and starts kissing you and throws wine on you and proceeds to have oral sex right there in public (slap, possibly broken bottle over his head), leaves but tells you that if you want to see him you have to be initiated in this exclusive club...interpretation-sex with all the members both male and female(knee to the groin after the broken bottle, twice for good measure!)... but you get the drift.
A better narrator may have helped the book but Charlotte Lovering was not a good choice.

Wow, this book was full of Sex - Sex and more Sex. Mostly Sex in every way possible with lot's of equipment, cloths that un-zipp every where convenient and Oh year - mmm the Harley ride. Every one was having sex with every one else. Slaves, and a particular mean mistress were all thrown into the exciting mix. I love the Pet part the most, i laughed and laughed. Do NOT listen to this book unless you are very open minded with a high sex drive, lol. I loved the story but was not as keen on the narration. Not much change going on for each character etc. Could of been told so much better.

Hot erotica

This book is erotica, not romance. Yes there is a story, but it just serves only as a framework to give some continuity to the sex scenes, which are hot and imaginative. if, like me, you enjoy sexy erotic books this for you, but if you want developed characters and a logical, realistic story give this one a pass. The narration is very good, except the reader struggles a bit with the main character's American accent.

Very erotic and mysterious

The Initiation of Ms. Holly was a very hot, steamy erotic novel that leaves nothing to the imagination in the numerous sex scenes - just the way I like it. The storyline was well-developed with very interesting plot twists near the end that make you smile, and the narration by Charlotte Lovering was very engaging. Her voice is very pleasant, and doesn't grate on your nerves, or sound whiney or nasally like some do. You are quickly drawn into the various rites of initiation the main character must endure to be with her unknown lover. If this story doesn't get your heart pumping then you're not alive!
