About this listen

Ranger Security Investigational Files
Case #125: A Retirement-Home Robber?

Notes: Jeb "The Professional" Anderson is sent undercover to investigate thefts at a seniors residence. But what happens when a sexy suspect steals his heart?

Former military man Jeb Anderson accepted a job at Ranger Security to regain some control over his life. But when he goes undercover to investigate a series of thefts at a retirement home, his number one suspect completely unravels his control… and sends his libido sky-high!

As far as massage therapist Sophie O'Brien is concerned, Jeb is infuriating. Still, she'd like nothing more than to find out just what's underneath Jeb's reserved exterior - and his clothes! Because if he's half as talented as his nickname implies, letting him uncover all her secrets will be very, very satisfying….

2 Books! Nice Fluffy Listens

There are two books in this download. The Professional and The Player. The Professional deals with Sophie a massage therapist at the Seniors Assisted Living Community where her grandmother lived until her passing. Sophie is loved by all of the Seniors there. However, jewelry starts to be taken from the safe's of some of the seniors, so Jeb a former Army Ranger, now a security expert with some former rangers is called in to investigate. He takes one look at Sophie and his world shakes. While formulaic, it is still an interesting 5 hour listen.
The narrator has a pleasant voice, however she put me to sleep a couple of times, she would be a great bedtime reader of childrens books but she didn't do anything for this book. In fact all she did was read, very little change in her voice.

The Player, deals with Jamie Flanagan, another Army Ranger, who leaves the service and set up the security firm with two other former rangers. Jamie and his friends are suffering with guilt over the death of one of their buddies, actually Matt (Max) died in Jamie's arms, so Jamie seeks forgetfulness in the arms of any available woman. (hence the name) Their former Commanding Officer realizes this and agrees to let them leave the service if each one of them would grant him one final mission if he ever need them. They agree. Jamie is the first who is called upon, The general needs him to guard his granddaughter. He gives Jamie a stern warning about keeping his hands to himself, and no funny business with his beloved granddaughter, just keep her safe. HHmmmm he just put a fox in the hen house and told him not to bite.....
This narrator was much better than the first one.
I enjoyed both these books, yes they are fluffy, but sometimes you really need something mindless to listen to take your mind off everyday worries.
