About this listen

Batter up.

As the assistant baseball coach, I’m supposed to keep my hands off the players. But Rafael Rivera, the ace pitcher for the Rangers, is as handsome as he is smooth.

Half Puerto Rican and half Italian, his smile makes me think of orange groves and red wine.

And when he shows up outside my hotel room one night?

Let’s just say our workout can’t be found in any baseball program.

But Rafael has two teammates who want to share me during the season.

There’s Darryl Bryant, the tattooed bad-boy who leads the team in home runs. He has an air of strength that makes me quiver with excitement, and I wonder if his rough exterior translates to roughness in the bedroom....

Then there’s Joel Rogers, the blond-haired, blue-eyed relief pitcher. A goofy boy-next-door with a smile that melts my heart. After I fix his pitching motion he insists on rewarding me with an extra special workout - one which makes my toes curl.

We’re racing toward the playoffs while practicing our positions.

Getting sweaty together on - and off - the field.

Is this just a regular season fling with three scorching-hot professional athletes?

Or will our love affair continue into extra innings?

Triple Play is a sizzling reverse harem love story filled with humor, action, and baseball-related excitement. HEA guaranteed!

First Cassie Cole book but not the last

I love baseball and am super picky about what I like and don't like in stories that feature baseball. I'm always looking for romance books with realistic baseball scenarios in them. Some stuff was a little eh for me but overall I was super surprised at how well it was written. The main characters are likable and I like the different personalities they had. The narrators were good.

Love the RH in sports.

Hey Mrs. Cassie you have done a great job. I couldn't put this book down. The way you wrote the three men and how they are involved with the lovely Natalie. I absolutely recommend this book to other RH book lovers.

Well researched realness and I loved it

Let me start with this..
I'm not a huge fan of baseball and definitely not a huge fan of reverse harem because every mix of these two tropes are always the same, always cookie cutter but surprisingly not this one. Its very heavy on baseball - to where I had to ask my husband what certain things were and the surprise on his face was priceless. For someone who pays no attention to baseball and starts throwing tech terms at him...lets just say I felt on top of the world and then explained it was a romance book I was listening to, OMG his face! Oh and the heroine is no wilting flower. She actually is a strong female lead and the freakin' the pitching coach! Yay for strong women!!!! The book has what a lot of others in this trope/tropes are missing and that is researched realness.
Like I said, as someone who hates all the ingredients of this book, the meal was satisfying and I'll be back again.

Good, not great

The performance by the narrators was excellent. Great flow in the narration. The story, not so much. I can appreciate that the author had to get the 4 together some how, but it annoyed me when they did things that would get them busted, mostly because it would be something special to get women being taken seriously as coaches, and Natalie just seemed to scoff at that sometimes. Like she didn’t care that she could set women back with her actions. She could have had the relationships without the possibility of sacrificing her career. That’s just my opinion. Otherwise, decent book and worth reading.

Great Story Needs New Narrators

The story between all of the characters was very well thought out and well developed. The plot had a good combination of funny and complexity. The sports was very well researched and explained throughout, in some places a little too sports heavy.

What I didn't like were the voice actors. The female mc is supposed to be Texas yet her voice actor is so obviously from Canada, her accent grated me so much at times I had to stop listening. Too be honest she sounds like a teenage girl, not what a hot badass woman in her own right is supposed to sound like. The male voice actor portrayed Joel, a character who is supposed to be a boy-next-door character, as if he were a weasel, just because he's not as sensual as the other two leading men. Talent agents please stop recycling your talent and put the talent available to what is needed to the books.

Boring :(

The premise was interesting, it’s difficult to find RH books with a good story line. I had a hard time finishing this book because I just couldn’t connect with the characters. I can’t even remember the females name… there was no depth. The way it went from 0 to sexy times was weird. I don’t get how they all got so serious. Plus, they all sounded like college students.
Female narrator was good. Male narrator didn’t match any of what you’d think the 3 guys would sound like, like an old guy trying to act like a young guy whose supposed to be an older young guy… :-|

Just okay

Narration:
Male narrator did a good job. 3-3.5 ⭐️ for him.
Do NOT enjoy this female narrator and she has done several Cassie Cole books. Biggest complaint about her is she could be talking about making coffee or be describing her sexy time and both are in the same tone of voice. Just meh. Doesn’t really lend anything to the story at all.

Story:
I enjoy Cassie’s books. None of them are super memorable as they all follow the same general outline and tend to be predictable. But they are enjoyable. Good palette cleanser books.
