About this listen

Mia

My dear brother, Taz Brizzi, has tragically met his demise at the hands of war between the seven families. And now, in the midst of my grief, my nephew Zerk Blackburn is also gone. As I struggle to cope with these losses, my father Matteo Brizzi has summoned the most ruthless assassin to protect me- Lucia Amato. Rumored to be even more deadly than Zara Blackburn who trained her, Lucia is unwavering in carrying out her missions. And right now, her mission is to keep me safe. I am both repulsed and intrigued by this woman and her dark world. Her beauty is undeniable, as is the hold she has on my heart. But this wicked game we are playing is treacherous, and I fear for my survival. Being in Lucia's company means certain death, but I cannot resist her allure. The question remains- how much blood will stain my hands because of this woman, and what price will I pay for it?

Lucia

I'm a killer. A ruthless, unfeeling monster, honed by the infamous Zara Blackburn. I have a reputation among the seven families as a "shoot first, ask questions of the dead later" type of assassin. Matteo tries to buy my loyalty with his wealth, asking me to protect his daughter Mia Brizzi, now the heiress to the Brizzi dynasty. But money and status mean nothing to me; the only currency that holds any value is Mia herself. With Roberto at my side, acting as translator, I accept the mission to safeguard her. Yet in doing so, I also see an opportunity - a prayer answered by the gods - to win her heart. It's no secret that Mia despises me, finds me repulsive. And I don't blame her; I am a monster, after all. But even monsters crave love, and I crave Mia above all else - enough to play this wicked game and have her stand by my side as my wife.

Favorite one so far!

This one is really really good. I love the mafia angle of this series by Jenna Kent. The hitman GF who will kill anyone who touches what’s hers, hot hot. Can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series. FYI hot sex and lots of murder!

“Wicked Games” by Jenna Kent, Narrated by Europa Fortis

I kind of started with book 5 of “The BlackBurns” but it didn’t matter. This was a pre-quel so I think it worked out well. If you’re a fan of “Touch Her and Die” then this book is for you. I really enjoyed it.

Mafia daughter, Mia, who wants nothing to do with her Mafia family but kind of has no choice, and assassin/protector, Lucia, make an odd pair. But you can’t help but root for them. Author Jenna Kent made me want more. So I will definitely read more of this series!

Europa Fortis did a good job narrating this book.
