Publisher's summary

Arguably, at the time of her father's death, the point at which she was married, she'd felt entitled to just-about-nothing.

Her mother had told her she was to be married.

To whom.

Under what "terms".

And so she was.

Her mother had "unwound" as well, had spooled out and revealed to her, a whole skein of relationships - and hierarchies - calmly and openly: her own relationship, now terminated, with the man who was to be her daughter's husband; the requirement of submission; the manner in which her mother - she had lightly referred to it as a kind of balance - had, in-every-way-imaginable, dominated her father; it had sounded like she was going to miss that more than anything.

All of this had been - well, what to call it? - seemingly both functional and, certainly, discrete: invisible, really, until purposefully revealed.

That had been impressive: the secret life of her family.

She didn't complain; she didn't argue; she didn't negotiate - merely observing the facts of what was going on around her, what was happening to her, and...complying.

Age Play

These stories are all age play. He called her little girl and she called him daddy. She had been given to him by her father when he passed. The narrator was great!

Not your typical Relationship

This book was different from any other that I have read. With that said the trust required for a relationship like the one depicted in this book to survive let alone thrive is unmeasurable. This book definitely took me out of my comfort zone while simultaneously taking me on a journey of their relationship while outlining the boundaries. A neat story.

An arranged submission

Who would think that a mother would give her daughter up into submission. That is exactly what happens in Yes, No Maybe. I would have liked a little more back story, but these novellas were a great short listen. I am still not sure if there was love or just a marriage from arrangement but the two seemed to enjoy their roles in the relationship. I think these novellas followed her training more then her being a submissive. Either way, it was a good story and I hope to see these novellas be continued.

Ward Thomas was a great narrator for this book. He has a voice that is easy to listen to and he read at a perfect pace. It was easy to tell the characters apart by his voice changes and he kept them constant throughout the story.
