André Vianco is a writer, screenwriter, playwright, and director, and one of the most renowned authors of Brazilian fantastic fiction and dark fantasy. The creator of an acclaimed oeuvre that includes horror, suspense, supernatural, and fantasy titles, he has sold over 1 million copies. A fan of Henry James and Victor Hugo, he grew up nurtured by television series, literature, movies, and comic books. He started writing as a teenager and made his debut in 2000 at the age of 25, self-publishing his book The Seven, which originated the vampire saga that became famous and quickly won thousands of fans, becoming a bestseller when it was published by his first publisher (the saga has had its rights sold and is being adapted for audiovisuals). Besides having written and published 23 works, he was a contract screenwriter for Rede Globo from 2010 to 2014, was a professor at Roteiraria (2017), directed three short films, and founded Vivendo de Inventar, a company in which he trains, mentors, and teaches new writers in their careers. Her books are being republished by Citadel Publishing. He lives in Osasco with his family, lending his imagination to the city, whose streets he fills with surreal beings in adventures marked by action and constant contact with the dark.
