Beth was in elementary school when she outlined the marketing plan for her first entrepreneurial venture, 23 when she learned she was an introvert, and 38 when, in 2010, she put the two together to create The Introvert Entrepreneur, a personal and professional development company. Her coaching and training services resonate with introverts who want to make the most of their strengths, and extroverts who want to understand why introverts are so doggone quiet. She is a professional coach, author, podcaster, and speaker based in Tacoma, Washington, and serves introverts worldwide. From the time she was seven years old and telling her parents about her marketing plan for “Beth’s Beauty Bar,” Beth has been living and working with an entrepreneurial spirit. The first signs she was an introvert? A preference for reading and solitude, long bike rides through the neighborhood with her best friend, hours of solo clarinet practice so she could perform on stage with confidence, and a willingness to babysit every New Year’s Eve (effectively relieving her of the social pressure to go to a party). Beth has established herself as The Introvert Entrepreneur to a growing tribe of thousands of followers and fans. As founder and CEO of The Introvert Entrepreneur, Beth is also known for her sharp observations on the introvert nature, her accessibility online and in person, and her willingness to reveal her own entrepreneurial challenges alongside intelligent, heart-centered strategies for overcoming them. A professional speaker and certified coach, Beth has coached dozens of introverted clients, trained hundreds, and spoken to thousands, championing introvert strengths and establishing her expertise in entrepreneurship, communication, and leadership. Her coaching, writing, and speaking style draws on her experiences as a trained classical musician, arts administrator, nonprofit professional, and entrepreneur. She is an active member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the ICF-Washington State Chapter, and the American Society for Training and Development. Beth has enjoyed sharing her message that “Success Is an Inside Job!” with numerous organizations and corporations. Selected presentations have included Starbucks, Boeing, PrimeGlobal, Xceed Credit Union, Ignite Seattle, eWomen Networking, and Puget Sound Business Journal, among others. Beth has been quoted and contributed to blogs and articles in print and online for Psychology Today and PsychologyToday.com, Inc.com, Crain’s Business Chicago, Aquarius Magazine, Seattle Times and ToiletPaperEntrepreneur.com, among others. Her extremely popular podcast, “The Introvert Entrepreneur,” features interviews with well-known and emerging Introvert Entrepreneurs. Since its launch in August 2010, the 50+ podcast episodes collectively have been downloaded more than 1.6 million times. Past and upcoming podcast guests include authors Susan Cain, Laurie Helgoe, Nancy Ancowitz, Susan Biali, Jennifer Kahnweiler, Barbara Markway and Mary Anne Radmacher. Other guests have included experts in social media, marketing and sales, personal growth and networking, almost all of them introverts.
