NarrowRoad Publishing began when our publisher, Mt. Zion Publishing, could not keep up with the demand of the book How God Can and Will Restore Your Marriage.
Though we did follow their first suggestion, which was to submit the manuscript to as many other publishing companies as we could--it was rejected because the book was deemed too radical for mainstream Christians. However, we believe Jesus was deemed very radical, like what He said in Mark 9:43-50 TLB
"If your hand does wrong, cut it off. Better live forever with one hand than be thrown into the unquenchable fires of hell with two! If your foot carries you toward evil, cut it off! Better be lame and live forever than have two feet that carry you to hell.
"And if your eye is sinful, gouge it out. Better enter the Kingdom of God half blind than have two eyes and see the fires of hell, where the worm never dies, and the fire never goes out--where all are salted with fire."
This is why we believe that following the Lord, and not conforming to the mainstream even when being accused of being radical, and never trying to be religious, nor apologizing or watering down the truth, is the only thing that will bring about the fruits the Lord died to give us--truths that are currently being killed and destroyed.
So as He began opening the doors, we were able to begin our own Publishing company, began slowly getting any books that are rejected as too radical, into both eBooks and paperbacks.
