Dr. Joe Serio grew up in a large family, the 9th of 12 children, just outside New York City. From a young age, he dreamed of traveling the world, learning about people, and being a storyteller. That sense of curiosity has guided him throughout his life.
He became a life-long adventurer, living in Russia and China and traveling to over 20 countries. He played in a Russian rock band in Moscow, ran an international magazine, and worked in U.S. government intelligence. These experiences—and so many more— shaped his passion for helping people unlock their full potential.
From 2013 to the present, Joe has been delivering conference keynotes and training programs to a wide variety of audiences. He is the author of the critically-acclaimed book, "Vodka, Hookers, and the Russian Mafia: My Life in Moscow" as well as books on fear, emotional intelligence, resilience, time management, and public speaking.
Now, he’s bringing his passion for culture, adventure, and life lessons to young readers as the author of the Adventures of the Gemini Twins series, sparking curiosity and imagination in kids everywhere.
Joe currently resides in Austin, TX, and when he isn’t traveling, speaking, or writing, he enjoys good food, playing music, and spending time with family and friends.
