From growing up in Alabama to attending the historically Black college Jackson State University, Lauren Gamble has always known she wanted to do two things — write and teach. She's decided that through books and television, she can do both. While obtaining a master's in writing, Lauren has completed multiple scripts that range from relationship dramedy to character-driven sci-fi. Lauren is currently a television writer with credits on both Hulu and Netflix. She’s now added children’s books to her writing repertoire with It’s Her Story: Josephine Baker.
