Philip Ryan Deal is an Oṣun priest living in Western Massachusetts. Oṣun, spelled Oshun in the diaspora, is the Orisha of fresh water, love, motherhood, and the leader of the Aje Iyami, the primordial mothers. He was initiated in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria by the Iyadudu Temple and Compound. He was scratched in Palo Mayombe by Tata Peter Lugo of Miami, Florida. His Manbo in Haitian Vodou is Lalune Bwiye Bon Manbo and is a member of her order Lod Mayifado Sakre. He serves the diaspora by offering divination, spiritual mentorship, and initiations. He has written books on Puerto Rican Vodou, Herbal Astrology, and the Orisha religion. He is the founder of the Aje Funfun Temple.
