I was keen to see what the Author would do with these stories. It was certainly interesting and I was pleased to see characters who made appearances in other series. Now to see what the rest of this series is like.

A somewhat interesting tale of a shoe obsession and the trouble it can cause. Isabel agrees to be a proxy bride for shoes to add to her collection. Little did she know the trouble that would cause. Sinking ships, mysterious deaths, murders and split personalities all add to the tale as Isobel tries to get her happy ever after.

Spring did not know she was stolen as a baby and was brought up by a murderous man who treated her like a boy. A chance encounter with an enemy’s daughter led to a marriage with ulterior motives. The emotional turmoil she goes through as she finds out that her father was in fact her abductor is heart wrenching. Worth the read to see how it ends.

Orrick has been the Keeper of the Flame for so long that he now wishes for death. Of course, a beautiful woman can change all that but not without mischief, mayhem and a little magic. It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t come across a few familiar characters which is why I enjoy these books so much.

Even the Devil can be good
Reviewed: 11-18-20
Sometimes what we think we want is nothing like what we really want and that is what happens to Amber. She is certain she should be a Nun, but then she meets the Devil. Lucifer was supposed to become a Member of the Clergy. In typical Elizabeth Rose style nothing happens according to a plan. An easy enjoyable story and well narrated by Brian J Gill.
