This what I needed to know
Reviewed: 11-03-24
Becca Lory Hector opened up my eyes. This book has helped me immensely. Safe Foods, Sunglasses, headphones, as a parent of an autistic child I needed to have this book read years ago. Learning about autistic joy through Becca’s experiences has shattered my previous perceptions, and I am grateful that she was brave enough to share this! Have purchased multiple copies of this book and shared it other important people in my life

Story
A wonderful tale of a young man’s coming of age, Zorba the Greek has been a classic of world literature since it was first translated into English in 1952 and made into an unforgettable movie with Anthony Quinn. Zorba, an irrepressible, earthy hedonist, sweeps his young disciple along as he wines, dines, and loves his way through a life dedicated to fulfilling his copious appetites. Zorba is irresistible in this charming audio production by veteran narrator George Guidall.

Story was amazing, but narrator was meh
Reviewed: 01-24-23
This is a story about the ultimate rascal, Alexis Zorbas. However, I do not think the narrator personified the soul of this character correctly. It was an injustice to any person who has read this book before. Subscribers of audible should just read this book out loud instead.

Story
The stories in this collection are drawn mainly from those tribes which lived in the northern and central areas of North America. These represent the linguistic groups gerneally referred to as Algonquian, Iroquois, and Sioux. A final chapter covers the tales of the northwest Pacific Coast.

The audio is terrible
Reviewed: 02-11-21
Too much clipping with this audio book. Every time the narrator raises his voice to show emphasis the audio cuts-out. Poor production quality. How can this even be listed on audible? It’s a real shame because I would love nothing more than to listen to this book.

Story
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....
