This story has a great premise. I love the secret society aspect with an outside mafia force. There were times when it just seemed like the characters got over conflicts too quickly. I don’t want to spoil anything but I kept thinking “so now it’s ok” or “why are you ok with this all of a sudden”. It doesn’t take away from the story and I still recommend it as a listen but those aspects were just a bit of a draw back for me. These were 2 new narrators for me and I think they did a great job especially with the different accents in this book. Alex has a great voice and does well emphasizing emotional moments and creating distinct voices. Amelie also did a great job of portraying multiple characters and making emotional connections. The story wrapped up nicely but definitely left a nice starting point for book 2.

Story
I’m a golden boy. A genius law student, the heir to the Carson empire, and the dutiful son. Or, at least, that's what it looks like from the outside. Deep inside, I have the urge to set the world on fire. I keep these impulses in check, rarely indulging in mayhem. Until one night of debauchery backfires, and I'm caught by a villain. I bury the entire ordeal with the rest of my skeletons. That is, until that night walks into my classroom in the form of my new professor. Kayden Lockwood.

Another epic story from Rina! I absolutely love how this is like a bridge story from the previous Rinaverse to this new Davenport and Vaughn storyline. I am beyond excited for it! Kiss the Villain was so perfect and unlike any of Rinas other Legacy of Gods characters. Yes all the men are intense and driven by their intensity of love but Gareth just felt different. It was like he morphed into a new character as the story went on and I like to think it goes along with the “mask” he wore to hide himself. As the story progressed so did he. Kayden is the perfect amount of intense to handle Gareth as well. In all of Rinas stories I love how she doesn’t shy away from love being love but also doesn’t paint it as an easy and accepted way of life for all. I just absolutely love her writing style and I am so excited for this new path.
Stephen and Grayson just completely complimented each other. Both of the narrators always dive into their characters and provide so much depth and connection. The emotional pull of this story is encompassed fully by their narration and just brings the story life.

I’m a man with no morals or feelings. The only reason I made it this far is to reign. Nothing and no one will stop me. Or that should’ve been the plan. Twists and turns
Reviewed: 03-23-25
I love a rejection story even though for the most part that means there is also miscommunication which this series was heavier in. However it was definitely needed for the story to progress. I loved the dynamic between Kirill and Alex. He exudes power and lets her power thrive as well. He is so cunning and manipulative to the people around him but for those he loves it’s a good thing. THe protection of his brother and sister even through all the pain they went through was such an important touch. I loved how this story wrapped up and the twists and turns along the way. Brooke and Sebastian’s narration was and is always phenomenal and they did a great job with the Russian accents.

Great second story!! Has all the elements you want in a part 2 that ends in an epic cliffhanger, or would be cliffhanger but thankfully I can go straight onto book 3. I am loving the deception and truths and manipulations! Sebastian and Brooke nail the characters emotions and desires perfectly.

Great build
Reviewed: 03-18-25
Rina always creates these amazing stories that builds a story you get sucked in to. She doesn’t throw the spice at you too soon and takes care to build her characters and the story that develops them. Her FMC’s are also fierce. They might not be the toughest at all times but they are determined and don’t get walked on. This also helps with her Alpha dominant MMC’s who pine for her female leads. Their connection is raw and usually angry but that tension gives such satisfaction! I have really enjoyed Kirill and Sasha’s story and the intertwined lines they lead and am anxious to get to the part of discovery where more tensions lie and create even more passion. Brooke and Sebastian are amazing and Sebastian’s deep voice is perfect for this Alpha character.

What a run this has been! I loved this glimpse into each of these couples lives. Experiencing this series has truly been the best thing ever. Each character and couple was different and got to experience varying life changing events in their circles. I highly highly highly recommend this series!! Stella and James are unparalleled with their narrations skills. The manipulation of their voices for so many different characters and side characters is mind blowing. For me, Daemon is still my favorite and the one voice that just blows
Me away the most as he also has a bit of a different dialect. It’s so hard to explain the genius of not only this storyline but the incredible narration masterpiece.

The miscommunication
Reviewed: 03-05-25
I enjoyed the story but the miscommunication trope was hefty in this story. Of course it is what builds the story so it has to be there. I really liked that it started off fast paced and kind of kept that pace throughout with only a few times that seemed a bit repetitive. The end of the story just kind of happens but you aren’t left feeling like you missed anything or needed more. All in all this was good Mafia romance as Eva Winners does really well. Walker and Lily were great and created great side voice characters and built the emotions of their characters.

Story
Everything I thought I knew was a lie. Including the one I kept telling myself… that he was coming for me. The illusion that I was safe, shattered with every step as I ran. Much like Alex, this world is nothing more than wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing. Beautiful, breathtaking. Until you find yourself alone, running barefoot through the woods, second-guessing every shadow. What I need is a miracle, and thankfully one comes. Weak and broken, I find my way into my family’s waiting arms, against all odds.

To say I loved this series would be a huge understatement. 5 friends who are all so similar but also so very different find the women who make them fall to their knees. They have all been through so much with epic happiness and devastating sadness. The greatest thing about this series is the feeling of family. With this being a Mafia story with Alpha males at every turn you’d think there would be harshness and coldness in their families, but their parents are so supportive and filled with love and understanding. I think Daemon is still my favorite out of all the guys but I love them all. The narration of this series has been such an all encompassing journey. The way Stella and James portray these characters and maintain their distinct voices is a thing of pure wonder. I can’t recommend this series enough if you love Dark Bully Romance with emotion and SPICE! My goodness the SPICE!!! Tracy is a brilliant storyteller and this series will stay with me as an always favorite.

Story
For years, all I dreamed about is getting away. Starting over… a new life. Far, far away from where I grew up. But I always expected to be the one to save myself. I was naïve enough to think the decision about where I went, and more importantly, who with would be up to me. Turns out, I never had a say. In any of it. My future had been mapped out long ago. A future that begins at eighteen when I’m ripped away from the only home I’ve ever known and thrust into a world darker than the one I was running from.

5 friends with 3 books each and book 2 of their love stories is always the crazy build. Even though the pattern is the same I LOVE it. The emotions are stronger, the action bigger, the spice is usually spicier and most importantly I just need that resolution! Going on to the last book of Alex and Evies story and I am super sad. This series has been such an amazing ride and there is one more book after their 3rd but in general it’s over. Do yourself a favor and just fall into this series and anything else Tracy Lorraine. She is a phenomenal storyteller. No other pair could’ve narrated this series like Stella and James. They are beyond talented and you just can’t really describe how amazing until you actually hear it.

The night we met, she left behind a lot more than just her shoes on my bedroom floor. She left an impression. A lasting memory burned into my brain. It teases me… tortures me. Months have passed since that night. I’ve tried a million and one ways to get her out of my head. But she’s always there. Haunting me. Stealing my sinful thoughts. Fuelling my darkest desires. I warned her to stay away. But I didn’t mean it— not really. Before I can make her mine, I’ll have to find her. With nothing more than her red heels, it’s impossible.

This series is seriously the best. I love how similar yet opposite Alex and Evie are. Both have to do things using their sexuality to make a living and yet both are hiding that from the other. They both accept each other for who they are but that tiny splash of miscommunication just have to sneak in there to build the tension. James and Stella are amazing and I am still just always blown away at how they portray all these characters and keep their voices the same through so many books.
