If you have ever groaned in tortured agony when the Super Villain pauses before dispatching that annoying hero into the component atoms he is made from, (allowing the Hero one last chance, why won't he kill him!?), or wondered what Heroes lives are really like, you will love this book.

The story is told through two vantage points, a new heroine just starting out, and an old hand Super Villain. You see into the inner psyche of an emerging hero and what makes them tick. You also get to plumb the depths of a Super Villain's mind as he plots to . . . TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!! Just flippin' awesome, that's what it is!

This is a wonderful enjoyable tale that will take you back to your days reading comics and addresses all those questions you might have had about your favorite Hero or Villain. Totally enjoyable, not too deep, and the narration was excellent.

I enjoyed it immensely. This is a very light read, not War and Peace, so judge it accordingly. Worth a book credit for sure! I'd write more but I have to work on my plan to . . . TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

Listen to Idlewild before you touch this book!

If you are like me you were probally a little dissapointed in the way this book starts (especially after the start in Idlewild), the charaters that you loved in the first book are left by the wayside and their children are given free reign, but as the book progresses you are sucked into the work that Mr. Sagan has created. As the characters take shape you can see the care and work the author put into them, giving you just enough information to start to know them but not enough to really understand them until the end, and WHAT A ENDING!

The book is written masterfully in all first person diary entries and he shows you the same scene from two or even three different peoples eyes. You will be dissapointed when the book ends.

Listen to this book, listen to Idlewild.

The author writes like a weepy highschool student but the basic content of this book is good. The only reason to buy this book is to see how other people have changed their lives, basically small autobiographies. Don't buy this book expecting to gain any insight in how to change your life.

I rated it low because the author reads it himself in a horrible sappy voice and I think most people will never listen past the first chapter. I almost didn't. I took an effort on my part to listen to the whole thing because I found myself constantly irritated by the authors voice and writing style. Really a shame because I liked the stories. Overall I would put it low on my list of books to buy.
