The story is well written. The reader was able to give each character a life of their own! I’ve listened to this story 4 times now and never tire of it!

Ms. Joyce is able to bring you through her writing to the people and places of a small country village in 1972. The narration is clear and voicing of the different characters very varied, making it easy to identify who is talking, especially in the differing accents of the various women characters I love how Ms. Joyce is able to paint with words! She is truly an expert of her craft!

If I could give this book a 6, I would. You’ll have to read the book to understand what I mean. The story is gripping, the narrator Ray Porter put so much character into the reading that I could see the movie! I hope there’ll be a movie! But u don’t know how it will be done! Surprise us!

The global viral pandemic of 2020 has brought to the foreground a hidden pandemic decades in the making: the growing addiction to video games. Dr. Kardaras brings to the fore the history of this “digital cocaine” and scientific studies on the affect of video gaming to young minds. Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY should read this. Parents, grandparents, psychologists, counselors, teachers, religious and community leaders, your Nextdoor neighbor.....this affects everybody!

Excellent world building and story. But given Shad's outstanding reputation in researching sword based combat the fight scene descriptions were a bit of a let down.

It doesn’t matter where you come from or how old you are, we all accumulate “shtuff” as my German husband calls stuff. Thank you Ms. Magnusson for reminding us that we need to save time for our children or whoever will be getting rid of our “shtuff” by spending our own time doing it ourselves. While it is a manual on death cleaning, it opens a crack in the window of Margareta Morgenson’s family life of “between 80 and 100 years”. Tastefully and sensitively read by Ms. Stevenson.

How does Ms. Stevenson do it?!? Make all those distinguishable voices and bring out their character so well! I am especially floored by her characterization of Mr. Panks. I highly recommend this book.

This book is very good as long as you use it as a resource for ideas to help you with understanding your child, but not to typecast your child. I’ve read criticism of it being New Age and Reiki related. I use the descriptions of Energy as nitrogen or oxygen only as an analogy, not a reality.
