Story
The Mountain E2 — Ancient Israel’s neighbors believed that the world originated as a mountain rising up out of the chaos waters. The gods ruled from this great cosmic mountain, fighting battles with nature and issuing decrees that kept the world in order. So how did this surrounding culture impact the cosmology of the Bible? In this episode, Jon and Tim discuss what the cosmic mountain meant in the Ancient Near Eastern context and how the biblical authors adapted and subverted this symbol in surprising ways.View more resources on our website →Timestamps Chapter 1: Recap and Intro to ...

So clear and helpful. I love their question and answer format that Tim and John employ. They are my questions, too.

Bob Beaudine shares his challenges and how his mother Martha Beaudine shared a secret that changed everything for him. I am excited about the epic adventures God has planned for me. I am ready. I BELIEVE. Thank you Martha Beaudine… for Bob and what you told him so long ago, that he shares so eloquently in this book. Thank you God, for getting Martha's attention and for loving each one of us so very much!

Story
Creating for your own pleasure - whether you're writing a novel, composing songs, or painting a landscape - can seem pointless. It's tempting to focus on pursuing money and fame rather than the process itself. But as Srini Rao warns, creating then turns into a chore that can harm your self-esteem and suck the pleasure out of life rather than being a source of joy.

Since buying on Audible a few weeks ago, and while painting in my studio, I have listened to this book twice fully and just started it over again. I have been able to recognize and achieve FLOW in all of my creating since, using many of the helpful tips in the book. This book covers so much to make you productive and live better in all aspects of life. Absolutely excellent for creative and non-creative people alike. It is entertaining and a positive journey for the mind. My husband is in the editing phase of his first book and An Audience of One helped me understand my husband's journey as an author much more. I see him as a fellow creative now and this new level of understanding helps me know what I can do to help my husband develop the creative space he needs to be his best. I have rarely come across a book that has helped me on so many levels! I eagerly await Srinivas Rao's next book!
