Story
This trial should be a slam-dunk. A faceless powerbroker has other ideas.... Small-town prosecutor Mara Brent must be tough as nails to succeed in her male-dominated profession. But she harbors a soft spot for the victims who rely on her courtroom skill, especially the wheelchair-bound rape survivor she’s known since her first day on the job. I enjoyed the story and it kept me on my toes most of the time. had some great turns that I was not expecting at all therefore, I soon found out that I probably wouldn't figure the outcome.
My disappointment was that a bad language in it and using words like ' Christ' as slain which was very offensive to me. For this reason I sadly will not purchase another.

Gil Mason is a simple guy with complex problems. Cross Phillip Marlow with Caesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer, and you create a new breed of private eye, complete with the courage of a pit bull, and the heart of a labrador.

Bad language and hard to follow
Reviewed: 10-15-23
Always love a story that has service dogs. However, I can't deal with the cursing. I didn't get very far before I had to quit. Also the story is not easy to follow.

Not good to invest in.

The story could have had possibility. However, I don't care for cursing in stories and the narrator sounded as if she was whispering, more of a raspy voice. Really disappointed with what could have been a good story to get away in.

The narrator did an amazing rendition. The characters were clearly individual but blended so well.
