I was a little scared to listen to this book. I loved the first two so much and didn’t want to be disappointed if it didn’t measure up. I am pleased to report that this latest edition is absolutely riveting and well worth the wait! Santino Fontana is mesmerizing as the main character and I am so grateful that he has narrated yet another volume in this story. I anxiously await book #4!

Frightening story that keeps the reader engaged from beginning to end.
What did you like best about this story?
Ambrose Ibsen has created a twisted mythology that is like no other story that I have encountered.
Any additional comments?
This story is a bit different that Ibsen's other work, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a tale that will make them sleep with the lights on.

Predictable, but enjoyable

Any additional comments?
The first half of this book is rather intriguing, however it becomes more predictable toward the latter half. The story is interesting and I enjoyed the author integrating podcast and social media culture with the story. Although the ending was probably meant to be a bombshell, it wasn't much of a surprise if you paid attention to the overwhelming amount of bread crumbs along the way. That being said, I did like this book for the most part.

Any additional comments?
The story was OK, but felt more like a soap opera than crime thriller at times. Way too heavy on one character; it would have been interesting to hear more from some of the others. Predictable in some ways, but clever in others. Could have achieved the same story in much less time by cutting out parts that were redundant or failed to misdirect.

The story was good overall, however I would recommend reading this book as opposed to listening to it. The narrator had pretty severe vocal fry, especially with male characters, which made listening very difficult.

Was The Seance in Apartment 10 worth the listening time?
I own most of Ambrose Ibsen's audio books and couldn't wait to listen to this one. Although the story was barely four hours long, it was a struggle to get though due to the narration. I'm going to assume that the narrator is probably a bit inexperienced; I am only leaving the negative review of her performance as a heads up to anyone who may be considering listening to the story over actually reading it. The narrator mispronounced quite a few words and had no shortage of strange inflections, primarily the habit of unspeaking.

Skip the audio for this story and read the book instead.
