This book was wonderfully read by Lauren Woodward and written beautifully by Patti Callahan. Seeing the humanity of such famous people puts us all on level ground in a way. We too can get through our struggles and move beyond our pettiness or larger struggles and create. We can develop our gifts and talents if we are willing to do the work.

I like the ways Ms. Callahan showed the hours, weeks and months of toiling with writing that Joy endured, there was no magic, but pen to paper day in and out while balancing life. Laughter, heartfelt conversations, good healthy relationships as well as tougher ones, just simply and complicated expressions of real life...Beautifully shown in this book.

Now I want to read more from this author who shows the underneath and below the surface as well as more CSLewis. I also want to get focused on my own writing and do the work to create and leave a legacy of love, hope, wisdom and joy. Well done and Thankyou to author and reader.

As a professional senior citizen, I had no idea what to expect from this book. I had enjoyed what I have learned about tapping so far and appreciated Jessica’s spirit when I heard her speak on the app. Out of curiosity I got this book. What a delightful surprise full of practical, insightful information with tapping along the way. Thank you Jessica! Well done.

I was surprised to learn so much about the authors life in this book about Dolly Parton. The way he told stories of his personal life that were similar to the stories in Dolly’s life and then offers questions at the end of each chapter for us to ponder our own life, it’s like getting three for the price of one. This provides a wonderful look into Dolly Parton‘s life, a peek into the authors life and an opportunity to peek into your own life. Well done.

Listening to Steve read this book kept my interest. While Working on my own writing projects it was recommended to me that I read this book along with Justice for All, also by Steve Alcorn, as good examples on showing not telling. Perfect examples indeed! Learning in the afterward that this is based on a true story was both sad and good to know. Sad that these things happened and good and that the story can be told in such a way that we remember and hopefully learn lessons from the past. Well done Steve!

As I sat in a book club group and heard one of my younger friends talk about this author, she said “People of my generation really can relate to her” and my interest was sparked. I had seen her other book on the shelf and thought it was cute. I decided to go ahead and get this on Audible and hear it. Wow! Do yourself a favor and listen. Thanks Rachael, you did a great job. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Just the lift I needed.

Steve does an excellent job presenting his work with clear explanations and examples along the way. I gave him five stars because it’s very easy to understand, educational, and extremely practical. As a beginning author, I plan to go back and do the whole book over with pencil and paper. This first time around I wanted to just listen. Now I’m going back, using this book as a guide along with his online classes. Steve’s online classes through Writing Academy are educational and inspiring. They show you what to do and help you believe you can. Looking forward to sending him one of my books in print one day! Thank you Steve. Well done.

I like the candor and honesty presented in this book. Developing mindfulness, meditation and awareness are all excellent to enhance our life experience and, it's a lifetime journey. I'm glad he doesn't make it sound like a quick fix because it's not. I totally agree, it's really, extremely very helpful to develop. But it does take some time and commitment. His book reminds me of the velveteen rabbit and that it's real.

There were definitely some new ideas in this book for me. Some I am ready to embrace and some I may grow into and some I may not. But that's what makes it interesting. Well worth your time.

This book is very interesting. I was hoping for more of the business aspect of collaboration such as handling the money and finances. That was not
in this book at all, however I really enjoyed the book.

This was one of the best books I have read/heard on low-carb eating. The information was clear and concise, encouragement was given with reason, and the narration was very well done.
