Story
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

First time? Yes, it was.

Believe it or not, this is the first time I had "read" any Harry Potter book. Oh, I've seen all the movies several times, and even followed along the journey whilst listening to the Potterless Podcast on Spotify. But, I wanted to see for myself what was different about the books vs the movie.
While I cannot stand the voice the reader does for Hermione and Malfoy, I did enjoy the story immensely. I crochet, so I got a lot done on a project while listening to the book. I do recommend this book for all ages.
Now, to get book 2. LOL

Okay, so I'm a bit biased, but I am a Mom (of one)

Okay, so I'm a bit biased, but I am a Mom (of one)

Tommy and JoAnna are just two down-to-earth 'kids' putting their two cents worth out there for us all to enjoy.
I love the randomness about their shows. It gives a bit of insight into how some of Gen Z thinks, but with influences of Gen X.
Don't discount if they don't put episodes out on time. They're quite busy with the lawn care business Tommy owns. 😉
Keep it up, kids! Your voice counts!

Story
In this classic story, set in Victorian England, a well-born colt tells his life story, from his early years in a pleasant meadow to his experiences as an elegant carriage horse and then an overworked cab horse. As he passes from one owner to another, some gentle, some cruel, Black Beauty tells a moving tale of an animal's perspective on the human world.

A wonderful classic brought to life. Made this Equestrian think about horses better. Loved this book, and may listen again!
