Story
Melanie is a very special girl. Dr. Caldwell calls her "our little genius". Every morning, Melanie waits in her cell to be collected for class. When they come for her, Sergeant keeps his gun pointing at her while two of his people strap her into the wheelchair. She thinks they don't like her. She jokes that she won't bite, but they don't laugh. Melanie loves school. She loves learning about spelling and sums and the world outside the classroom and the children's cells. She tells her favorite teacher all the things she'll do when she grows up.

The Girl With All The Gifts
Reviewed: 06-13-17
This is an interesting and rather more intellectually stimulating zombie book. The reading was good and the characters are complex. I would recommend this book to mature horror fans. There is still lots of running, screaming and shooting, but there is also some science to explain what causes the "hungries". It is a good book and well worth the credit.

Story
This final play from the pen of Oscar Wilde is a stylish send-up of Victorian courtship and manners, complete with assumed names, mistaken lovers, and a lost handbag. Jack and Algernon are best friends, both wooing ladies who think their names are Ernest, "that name which inspires absolute confidence." Wilde's effervescent wit, scathing social satire, and high farce make this one of the most cherished plays in the English language.

Great book for new teachers
Reviewed: 08-03-13
Pros: This book was easy to listen to with lots of good pointers for new teachers, and for elder teachers as well.
There were plenty of examples to help a teacher improve their practice throughout all levels of schooling.
Cons: I wonder why, when the vast majority of teachers are female, the authors chose to use pretty much only sport examples when taking examples outside of teaching.
Also, the narrator referred to tables within the original book which were not available for download. This was disappointing.

Throwing up ... anyone ??
Reviewed: 07-13-13
The book was good but there was completely unnecessary amounts of vomiting. I get it already - the world stinks figuratively and literally, but Mike is going to get throat cancer from all the vomiting he does. Also, with the exception of a new female character in this book, the Talbot women are weak, annoying and nothing that a female reader can relate to. I get the impression that Mark Tufo does not think too much of women.

I read this book as a teenager and I was afraid that it wouldn't be as good as I remembered it, but it was. It was very well read and I'm glad to have it among my audible collection now.

The performance didn't even deserve 1 star

What did you like best about The Protein Power Lifeplan? What did you like least?
I own the book and I found it rather hard to read - being quite technical, so I skipped a lot. The audiobook made getting through all the content easier
How could the performance have been better?
The performance sounded like they recorded it through a cell phone (including absolutely abysmal music at the end of each chapter) and then re-recorded it by replaying the original recording through a 100 year old grammaphone. It is hard to imagine how it could have been worse and still audible.
Was The Protein Power Lifeplan worth the listening time?
The jury is still out on this. I should have listened to a sample as I would not have bought it if I had known (or believed since I read the other reviews) how hideous the recording was.
Any additional comments?
I am going to ask for my credit back.

Where are the PDF's for this book?
Reviewed: 06-09-12
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
This book should have included pdf files of the various tables and lists that were narrated. The narrator dictating these lists was boring and rather less useful than being able to see them in printed form.

This book is intersting, but seems mostly to be a bunch of name dropping and repetition of those names. I would rather there was more "how to" than "Tiger Woods thought this or did that".
